Early scoring looks like winner will be 20 under. Course doesn’t look like it’s hard fir these guys

it seems like the only issues are the length of the course and pin placements .... and maybe the wind if it kicks up
rough is minimal plus no real tree or water danger.
Perfect for Rory

Afternoon winds gave the 2nd wave issues yesterday. Probably will have same effect today with the morning wave as winds look to be 15-20 mph then dying down around 1-2 pm

Winner won't be near -20.

I'd suggest almost everyone in the field would take -12, 268 and see if anyone in the field could catch that number.

Yup. Winds really changed the scoring from early yesterday. Looks like my pick of Scheffler was equally bad. My predictions are about as good as my golf game. Lol

The Early/Late guys got a huge advantage with the weather. Scottie and Dustin won't be playing on the weekend.

Who had Pereira or Zalatoris???

Naturally, nobody had Zalatoris. Because as I point out every golf major and every triple crown race….everyone here is a know nothing stooge.

Pereira leads by 3. There were only 4 rounds on Saturday of minus-3 or better (Webb Simpson carded a -5). A few degrees warmer today (68-ish), so not much change other than pin placements. I think Zalatoris and Fitzpatrick are the only ones who can catch the leader.

There were 5 inches of rain overnight Friday into Saturday also. Course is going to be little drier today

Impressed with Mito. When he dove to 6 under I thought it was ballgame for him, lights out. Played 3 under last 6 really nice comeback think mentally that will help him today. JT fell backwards again don’t think he has it unless they back up completely. Cam Young may surprise !

Best rounds of morning among those who finished were Streelman @-3 and Rahm @-2, so as noted upthread, doesn't look favorable for anyone other than Fitz or Zalatoris catching Pereira, he's going to have to come back some for anyone else to be in play.

Pereira's trying to give it away but nobody wants to take it. JT probably too little too late.

I'm disappointed in my boy Ancer. Looking like he's gonna be the 2022 version of Tony Finau... hanging around the top 5 on Saturday then quietly fading away.

That was kind of sad to watch Pereira. He didn't take his shoes off and jump into the creek but it was a van de Velde like choke.

Wasn't expecting that. Not quite a van de Velde-level collapse, but fellow countryman Niemann couldn't bear to watch it. Oof.

20 under, nope, 12 under, nope. 6 would have worked fine....

Gotta like Thomas in the playoff, right?
