They used to play on a Sat-Sun schedule with the NC being on the Tuesday after the Men's NC game. I believe that the NCAA changed at the insistence of CBS with wanting the Men's NC game being the last basketball game of the NCAA season, money talks when it comes to the NCAA.
Does anyone know why they changed from sat sun to Fri sat

3/20 Miami-Indiana ESPN2 878,000
3/20 Baylor-UConn ESPN 943,000

These are some nice numbers. They are, of course, driven by what net work there on, but a few things leap off the page:
The public is apparently well aware of who the defending national champion is and that they are undefeated. South Carolina consistently draws very well and its 1.1 million viewers on ABC is a strong number.
Connecticut continues to be a draw with 943,000 on ESPN, the highest draw on that channel.
The Miami, Indiana game 878,000 to ESPN2, is a really strong number for that channel.
Georgia Iowa game is at over 1.4 million? It is on ABC, so that gives it a good start, but that is a great number for women’s basketball game.

Taking collectively, these numbers are a strong indicator of the extent to which woman’s college basketball has worked its way into the public consciousness. They should have an impact when the NCAA sells the woman’s basketball rights separately in the next contract negotiation.

The Iowa subregional continues to impress me with both its viewership and attendance. Sure, much of it can be attributed to Caitlin, but not all. Much respect to the wbb fans in Iowa.

Places for Regionals (if it went back to four;

1. Northeast. Bridgeport;
2. Southeast. Greenville
3. Midwest. Iowa
4. West. Who knows? Vegas?

People are finally discovering what all of us already knew - that College WBB is fun to watch. When the current players move on to the WNBA, hopefully the viewership will follow. As with most college sports, the best attendance is generally in areas without big 4 professional teams.

Where does the data for the different age groups originate from?
I don't know which company besides Nielsen would have data for each gender & age group.
Are these posted on a free public website?
Can you provide the website reference link?

I am getting these from ShowBuzzDaily. These are from Nielsen's national sample.

Other fun numbers for the ABC broadcast. On average, 21.8% of women 18-49, 26.6% of men 18-49, and 17.6% of people 50+ in their sample "Using Television" were watching that broadcast.

Great indication that viewership is growing.

I’m dying to see how 23-24 compares.

Will Bueckers and Clarke lead a new record setting season?

How much will SCar’s eyeballs drop without Boston?

Can LSU v SCar come close to last year’s shocking numbers? (And can Baton Rouge match Columbia’s electricity in person?)

Will Notre Dame’s national fanbase bring it this year? How bout tv eyeballs on a game in a France- during football season.

Sorry to revisit this old thread but it was soooo much fun watching the sport explode last year. As always, thank you @awhom111
