Surprised by this.
I have to say, I’m a bit surprised as well. I was hoping it’d cross 1M, but 1.5M is impressive.

The most impressive part is that this game aired simultaneously with a matchup of the Celtics (#1 in the East) vs. the Grizzlies (#2 in the West) on ABC which worried me a bit.

College GameDay would’ve made this all the more exciting.

Kudos to Dawn, CLA was electric. Made me want to attend a game sometime next season.

Why would anyone be surprised? Two undefeated teams with two dynamic coaches and players with interesting personalities in a sold out arena with crazy fans. Sound familiar?

Yes, I’m surprised it outdrew SCar/UConn and Scar/Stanford and even UConn/Tenn,

Super Bowl Sunday probably helped gather casual eyeballs.

Wbb fans hating on LSU’s schedule probably helped too.

Still, it just smoked other games for more than a decades,

That was an amazing atmosphere!

Dawn has built something special. I also want to give a shout out to the Gamecocks fans on the Boneyard. Y’all are a great fan base and bring what’s to me a welcome perspective to the board.

Thanks to everyone for not pointing out my issues with getting the right dates on the last batch.

The more precise number for LSU-South Carolina was 1,466,000 viewers on average.

Here are average ratings for various demographics groups:

F18-49 .33
M18-49: .48

I wonder if Iowa v. Indiana 325,000 is a wbb record viewership for the BigTen Network?

Maybe some tournament games in the past exceeded it?
FOX PR says that is the record so I guess it is.

Wow, me too. Whenever I see numbers like that it makes me think that woman’s college basketball is drawing in more than just the fans of both programs. That’s a good thing.

UConn still the eyeball queen but Iowa and Caitlin - indeed the BigTen- have had an amazing run. My gamecocks drew very well / when they played top Ten teams but meh against the less than meh SEC teams.

Thanks as always to @awhom111 .

Interesting direct comparison since the UConn men played before and the Villanova men played after on FOX and the women's game beat them both.

Thank you awhom for all your work.

I’ll try to pull it altogether for my over 200k pre -ncaa tourney viewers ranking When the Big 12 tourney concludes
..
Looks like the Big Ten viewers were a monster jump compared to last year. I guess a thank you Caitlyn is due.

Thanks for taking the time to put all this together. It’s interesting information. For example, I would’ve thought that FS1 drew more viewers than the BTN, but apparently they are about the same, with maybe a slight edge to the BTN.
