That was a really solid effort, but for Crawford’s shaky start and the dropped foul ball that could have hurt but didn’t. That did not look like our March team giving plays away. Time for Casparius to dominate.

Bullock may have 3 SC Top 10 plays. What a game with the glove.

Last night was Mrs. Diesel's first time watching UConn baseball and she got in to the game real quickly. This is a fun team to watch when they are clicking. The bunts, hit and runs and aggressive base running are much more fun to watch than the all or nothing gorilla ball of swing for the fences or strike out baseball.

Not enough has been said about Crawford scoring from 2d on Brown’s infield single. How did that happen? Because Crawford’s lead was almost halfway to third before the pitcher started his motion, and was well more than halfway to third when the bat hit the ball. That was the kind of play we would have given up at the start of the season, not the kind of play we would have made.

I thought you caught me but I just went back and looked. Front sports page of the on line paper has :Ct Sun. 3x3 basketball; Sox vs Yankees, Giants FB and Ct Gatoraid BB player of the year. Nothing anywhere re the three Ct schools . Pretty ty[ical of the NEW Courant.
