2021 Recruiting Thread

I think this happens...this shutdown is indefensible. Young people need the opportunity to make contact/visits to make critical decisions.

 
UConn offers Dre Spriggs 6'3'' WR from Harlan Texas.

We are at that point with just room for a couple more kids in the 2021 class where we might see a new offer go out quickly after other recruit commits elsewhere. Probably not a coincidence the 6'4'' Gasden (WR prospect) commits to Syracuse a day ago and now this offer is out. The staff appears to be on the hunt for a tall/big catch radius WR to compliment guys like Tracey, Turner, Marion (from last year) and Bush (from last year).

Other offers: Bryant, SFA, Fresno, USTA, TX State, Lamar, Coastal Carolina, Navy, Sam Houston, New Mexico, Texas Southern and Hawaii.

Yup.. We need a BIG WR ... We have enough medium to smaller guys already... Edsall seemed to be on Gadsden (twitter), but now that the young man chose another school we still need to address the position. This Spriggs kid plays with some "dog" in him too.. Would be a solid fit for us:

He has a very good step move to the inside. Can see better on the 247 junior highlights.

Makes great catches on balls thrown where they shouldn't be. Short, to the wrong side, requiring a dive, etc.
If he could only show he'll get the ones four feet over his head I think we'll have what we need.

maybe with the current cast of TE coming back, edsall and co. decided to make tactical changes in recruiting? Coincidence that Chris Johnson decommitted as well?
