With the 2 latest commitments we are up to 73rd in the country.

I think Tyler should de-commit since we haven’t gotten a recruit in the month since he committed. Note: Colleagues that’s just Chief’s sense of humor , so relax with any hyperbole.

Chief pushes a button in a humorous way and achieves results. Did still get the hyperbole though. LOL

Its a shame we can't get campus visits going. I am sure the staff is aching to pour the love on some of the commits and the uncommitted.

With 12 verbals in hand, I think the remaining priorities will be as follows below to build to a class of 22 or so. We have 6 unused scholarship slots, 9 graduating seniors make for a firm class of 15. I expect we will have about 4 red shirt juniors move on plus one scholarship QB and also perhaps 2 underclassman leave for whatever reason giving us room for 15 + 4 + 1 + 2 = 22. Now I am probably light here as our typical winter churn has more than 2 underclassman leave early, but I expect that should that happen Edsall might be inclined to use those additional spaces to reward WOs (LS or Kick squad?) and/or recruit some highly targeted transfers for areas of need that are hard to anticipate today (injuries!).

12 in hand:
13) special teams player (kicker) - can't ignore the recent offers!
14) another WR weapon - preferably one with height/reach to balance out our attack (Palmer??)
15) offensive tackle - (Sessions, Siegel, others?)
16) defensive tackle - a true anchor (Ugbaja is priority #1)
17) inside linebacker - we remain thin in this area/ only pulled in Fogle last year as Brown will be OLB (Garner would be incredible, look for us to make other offers once Garner decides)
18) outside linebacker - need one to compliment Hardy (we seem to still be pushing for Kamara even though he is a Temple lean)
19) safety - (Battle??, Cox??, Frazier??)
20) corner - (Adeyi??, Anthony??, Ashford??)
21) defensive end (Gray??, Julian?? Hammond??)
22) second QB - this happens over the coming winter and only if one of the scholarship QBs leave early.

Wildcard:
23) offensive center - if we lose Walker I think we will look to pull in a true Center and/or we might just recruit a center anyway even if we keep Walker.

We are in that stage where I think you can anticipate that when the staff makes an offer its because they have decided that we are out of the running with other kids previously offered at that position. Our offers to the two kick specialists is a perfect example. Offered the one kid, he commits to Ole Miss, then immediately offered our next target.

Just curious about Walker... Why would we lose him? He's here for a few years, right?

I'm referring to Yakari Walker, the OG verbal from TX that was getting some P5 attention after his commitment to UConn.

Updated roster tracker. Btw, per the UConn website, Jesse Polansky - WO from CT will play OL rather than DL.

And as always, my depth chart is a pure guess and it reflects a reluctance to put true freshman and WO ahead of scholarship kids until we actually get some practice reports and see actual games.

Good looking MLB.... was a Syracuse lean, then shifted to ODU which is an interesting choice. Looking at social media, seems like we tried.
