Justin Stevens is a 6-6 285lb OL/DL from Nova Scotia attending Clarkson Football North Prep in Ontario Canada. Decommitted from EMU 11/14. Other offers from Buffalo, Coastal Carolina, Fordham, Maine, Northern Illinois, Syracuse, Toledo and UMass.
Highlights
If Princeton can play a Game in Shanghai, China ... why can't UCONN have an international Game in a big Eastern Canada city
What's going on ... Football is a much bigger sport - and the Canadian athletic foundation of Preps, Clubs, PeeWee is far more advanced than 2006 when I moved there. Friends who coached then & maintain broad contacts through the two most active provinces for us - Ontario & Quebec - say that the participation has increased dramatically. NFL is big on Sundays for young Canadian males; it is the only sport that interrupts HockeyTalk on SportsRadio 24/7.
It is absolutely good strategy. We will get big linemen; we will get fast skill players (Canadian immigration from lots of global markets is robust as well); we will get kids that can throw - in inclement weather; and the skill leval and coaching is getting far better.

Us needing him and our coaches being able convince him to come here don't seem intersect.we need him on our D... great timing on his hits... would make opposing offensive WRs think twice about catching the football over the middle of the field....
