This is the one I have been waiting on..... TE/WR from Crestwood HS in PA (near Scranton). 6'6' 220lbs per HUDL profile. Claims 4.8 40 time. This kid can high point the ball well.

Had offers from Bowling Green, Bryant, Penn, Yale, W&M, SHU, UNH, Albany, Fordham and Lafayette. Took visits to Temple, Pitt, Toledo, Lehigh and camped at Rutgers.

He's our Pass catching TE/Redzone WR gadget guy.. I'm calling it now... Love this pick up...

Continuing to see good signs for UConn and Desmond Fogle, a 6'2'' 215lb LB from Camden County HS in GA. Fogle continues to have our UConn offered pinned on twitter and today he retweeted both new commitments.
https://twitter.com/DesmondFogle

On this Recruit Georgia page per the link below Fogle is described as having good character which I think its a renewed focus of the Edsall 3.0 era. You can't have a roster of all angels per se, but you need a solid majority because those are the kids that keep the team focused and push others to aim higher. Lots of kids of similar levels of talent, but not all have the mental fortitude.

Desmond Fogle – OLBCamden Co.

Wondering if we see Fogle visit on 7/27 and perhaps a commitment thereafter.

Chief doesn’t want this associated with any specific player but hearing good news that UConn will start taking a healthier approach on the Admissions front. I don’t want to give anyone credit - you can figure it out - because unfortunately in the Northeast the knives will come out.
Good news

Why would something like this take so damn long?

Yeah. But what is Chief saying. Are there New England kids that we rebuffed that led to the perception that we wouldn’t be reasonable.

I don’t know about that, but I have twitter stalked like crazy the past 10 months and noticed the staff seemed to zero in on perhaps two dozen juco kids and it seems the number of kids we actually offered was perhaps less than 5. I don’t know for sure, but it seems likely that most kids we couldn’t offer because of academics and/or because we won’t approve their juco class selection/transfer credits.

We shoulda "loosened" up on some of our restrictions a loooong time ago.. just sayin.. If certain P5 schools can get away with offering take home exams where you can get a grade of a B with 2 simple sentences written down (UNC.. Doh!) then why not lessen the restrictions? Maybe some of these kids can get here, not just to play football, but find their academic stride as well, thus giving them an opportunity to grow here, as men and see the BIGGER picture, all while having/building success on the football field.... just sayin...

If true this gives me hope that we are taking football seriously. This is great news if directed by the new President.

Nice frame on this kid to work with...somehow we missed he committed to CMU back on 6/25.

I haven’t heard anything tied to waffling recruits - but sometimes Randy is messaging to someone.
