As the doors begin to close on many teams' seasons, the window (or portal) opens to the usual stream of transfer announcements.

I'll try to compile a list of more-or-less significant transfers here (my subjective call). I'm also folding in the still pending midseason transfers from this thread. Where I'm able to find a news item on the announced departure or commitment, I've linked it in the right two columns (contributions welcome).

Mi'Cole Cayton's collegiate career got knocked off the rails before it even started, when Connie Yori "resigned" as head coach of Nebraska, setting of a chain of events that have resulted in different things for several players associated with the program.

Cayton was one of two celebrated members of the incoming class of 2016, along with point guard Kathleen Doyle. In an ESPNw article, she cited Yori as the main reason she signed with the 'huskers. Once Yori left, both Cayton and Doyle asked for their releases and while both said they'd keep Nebraska in mind, Cayton went to California and Doyle to Iowa. Cayton has endured yet another coaching change and num(b)erous injuries while Doyle got to play with Megan Gustafsson and was just named B1G Player of the Year. Factor in transfers Natalie Romeo (Washington) and, a year later, Jessica Shepard (ND) and there are a lot of divergent paths.

Hopefully, Cayton can get one more healthy chance to play.

I had completely forgotten, until I read about her latest transfer announcement, that Cayton was a part of that great class. It was almost like a dispersal draft. Lots of notable names.

People may also be interested to know that Connie Yori is still in the game, though not technically a "coach" -- currently "program advisor for women's basketball" at Creighton.

Nevada's leading scorer is transferring, as relayed by Raoul.

Sophomore guard Essence Booker averaged 12.5 ppg this season.

Alexis Morris is no longer on Rutgers roster on their site. So I take it things didn’t work out.
Just means a lot more playing time for Diamond Johnson.

Gee. I thought she was injured and that's why she wasn't playing.

Played in only 7 games, most recently on Jan. 20.

She was injured. She wore a boot for the reminder of the season, but she had been absent from the bench the last few games of the season.

Niya Beverley, a 3-year starter at Wisconsin who averaged 7.6 ppg this past season, announced her intention to transfer:

She was apparently granted a sixth year:

Lambert has since followed coaches from Purdue, UCLA, Southern Cal, and Mississippi State.

The twitter detective!

Vic Schaefer is the transfer bandit. Does he even have a scholarship available for next year?

Two after the recent retirement of Promise Taylor.

I think UCLA could make sense given they lose Dean, so it may be her best shot at winning some games and getting solid minutes.

If K Lambert is a point guard then this a repeat of last offseason. He went hard after M Moore after already trying to get A Morris, and C Patterson. Obviously he still sees that spot as a weak link for next season.

I figured that she would get a sixth year, and knew she wasnt coming back to Duke. She has her undergraduate degree... and will be getting her M.M.S in May.... so I just assumed she was done with college basketball after this season.

Is she a point guard? If so is she a game changer?

She is a PG..... I wouldnt say she is a game changer. She's a really solid guard.... excellent defender..... tremendous leader, great person and student. I will say her stats are modest... but deceptive. She started off the season slow.... as you would except after missing 2 years and 7 months to injury..... but she was really playing well in the past month or so.

I really have no idea why we would pursue Lambert but Vic seems to get at least one transfer per season. We really don't need anymore guards, we need to add another post. Carter was out of position all season and Promise Taylor was forced tot give up basketball due to injuries. Morris didn't really set the world on fire but she is a solid backup. Cooks will help but like Carter is a 4. We need a big presence down low. Maybe we can land a grad transfer to fill in the gap.

Agreed. I think she'll be a good pickup for whoever lands her but I dont think she's an upgrade over Taylor/Mingo-Young. All the best to her.

With the news that Alexis Morris is no longer on the Rutgers roster, I wonder if Vic would renew his interest in her.

She was so good as a freshman but obviously comes with her share of baggage. Shame her career hasnt been able to go as expected.
