He didn’t hold a UConn offer but has been discussed on here previously since he was a St Thomas More kid:

Putterman: UConn football recruiting: Who has committed, who could be next and where the Huskies' class ranks

>>Over the final weekend of the season, UConn hosted several prospective recruits, including quarterback Drew Campanale (Shrewsbury, Mass.), receiver Cyrus Bonsu (Worcester, Mass.), receiver Delvin Attafah (Worcester, Mass.), running back Jose Lopez (Middletown, Penn.), tight end Aaron Hopkins (Dahlonega, Ga.) and defensive back Damon Washington (Holmdel, N.J.). <<

Lopez and Hopkins are class of 2020.

"247Sports currently ranks UConn’s class as the 126th best in the country and 12th best (out of 12) in the American Athletic Conference.
Rivals does not have UConn in its top-100.
However, with the Huskies’ class less than half complete, those rankings could change significantly in coming weeks and months."

yah....ok

It would help if 247 at least kept up and listed all the commits - they are missing two (par for the course)

Michael Monios is a hard working 5'10'' Canadian who was a star WR for Choate, a program that gone undefeated for something like 4+ years. The rep is that he a hard worker. Maybe the staff should offer, especially if we get any surprise upperclassman departures at WR.

While we can't be a program that is about to so called RKG, that doesn't mean you ignore those max effort guys all together. Culture does matter. Max effort guys do have a way of boosting everyone.

Eddie Allen, Mike Z, DTT and David Harris follow Monios on twitter. Lucien has a connection with Monios as classmates last season.

Plus he has Ganyi advocating for him ;)

Sure looked good driving DB's back and then doing a quick out.............and he always was past the down marker.

LaRon Stokes - 6'4'' 245lb JUCO DE from NE Oklahoma A&M. Other offers include Tulsa, Colorado State, UH, ECU, UTEP and Kent State. The Tulsa, Colorado and UConn offers all coming in the last 12 hours.

For those clamoring to see a mans body which can flow to the ball and collide with power, enjoy this:

Wow, I saw more blockers shed in these 4 minutes than I saw from the entire UConn defensive line in 12 games.

My thoughts ...

We know we have HUGE needs. Particularly Linebacker. Both lines. WR.

HCRE has lots of capacity; but isn’t surfacing in any of the ways he historically moved. Mercenary. He is targeting Existing FBS or FCS grad & prep/juco. Unlike Diaco or PP, I think Edsall is a superior evaluator of talent. Something isn’t clear in this year’s recruiting.
He’s trying a quick fix, ignore his rhetoric. There’s nothing wrong in this approach, just wish he would can the rhetoric about doing it the right way, getting student/athletes, etc.

Per a Nebraska article the Cornhuskers were in home with Jimmy Fritzsche last night and we are set to be in home soon as well

Priority recruit.. He can shine right away in our 4 man front on D.. Would be nice to scoop up Zouzoua as well.. We need all the help we can get up front right now.. We absolutely need 2 mature bodies now, not in next year's class...

Time out ... he ain't talking to you and I. A large part of this is recruiting the next big thing. He has to have the Dave Benedict stating this is the course and the pretty picture. Otherwise, how can you climb out of this deep hole.

Can HCRE evaluate and find the players. I say yes ... but I look sideways here and many say (even with the notion that he was excellent in the 2003-2008 period) he's lost his fastball.
