2019 FIBA Americup

72-52 after 3Q.

Diamond, Tina, and Jordan all in double-figures.

Stef missed a trey, but made 2 shots inside the arc. She's 4-5 shooting. Mini slump. :D

Jordin Canada can penetrate using her quickness.

Liv comes in and gets a jump ball on a rebound with de Souza.

Liv challenges a shot and makes the player pass it out of bounds.

What happened to Deshields? Her stat line is nearly nonexistent? Is she ok?

Lou's numbers look better. Led team with 4 O boards. When her shot is not going, she needs to get involved in other areas. Seems like a good sign
Who ever would have thought that would be written about her after her Freshman year? Unbelievable transformation. I only hope we see Megan and Evina show half this evolution and our team will be unbelievable.

I have a winter rain/snow storm attacking my Satellite broadband so I'm not going to ever try to tune in. :(

89-73 final. Brazil is the 2nd or 3rd best team there. Tina tweaked a hammy late, and Diamond tweaked her ankle at the buzzer.

Tina finished with 15 and 10. Diamond had 19, Canada had 15, and Lou and 10.

Dantas had 16 and De Souza 13 for Brazil.

Lou is really saying you haven't seen the real me yet, grateful for the opportunity to work on a team that gets her and having her wrist on the way back. What a great and great hearted player.
If Lou wasnt on Team USA and went straight to France I dont how she would be mentally for the transition. Staley has let her play and she knows her role. I know FIBA Americas is not WNBA. nor Euro League play. but there needed to be a confidence builder to get her back. She smiles a ton more now.
Thanks Dawn Staley and thanks to someone else who I cant really mention who I am pretty sure was also a big help.

For completeness. the final is at 5:30 on sunday and both semifinals and finals are still planned for ESPN+. I wonder if it may be moved to a free service like ESPN3 with US participation?

No because it's ESPN and they want you to subscribe to ESPN+.

My recollection is that the Recent Pan American games had a televised structure that the most important US games were on some free ESPN option while the rest of the games were ESPN+ (or maybe just ESPN3?)
