All the knee injuries in sports are a real bummer. Not much you can really do about them though, feel for this kid just like all the others. Was he supposed to be a contributor?

He was supposedly going to be a starter, but Maryland has depth at the shooting guard position. Now with Wiley out it's down to Jared Nickens and Rasheed Sulaimon. Sulaimon told Turgeon that it would be best for the team if he came of the bench, so Nickens will probably start now.

very nice top 100 player to memphis, same kid who went head to head with Alterique and outplayed him (mac irvin vs team cp3 in vegas). looks like they'll be dueling for years to come.

couple of things i things i took from the video

1. Verticality, you heard that brimah? Pull a roy hibbert and straight up dominate by standing straight; no much hunched over defense when guarding a post defender.

2. Hand checking is obvious, fans shouldn't and usually don't get upset when its called. if a player is driving to the rim and defender is using his arms to slow him down, clearly thats a foul. However, what i anticipate is officials calling erroneous fouls on defenders who are moving their feet well but just bodying up. They emphasize not slowing down the game and cutting out stoppages, but bad refs could create even more stoppages with these points of emphasis' ( some quite obvious and fundamental, like I was taught a decade+ ago that using one hand on a post up player is fine.)

Welp, Kris Dunn is pretty good. With about 2 minutes left against Harvard, he's got:

He had 7 steals in the first half but was struggling offensively shooting 3-15 at one point. He completely took the game over after that and was unstoppable, they also didn't credit him with a couple of steals and a block that they should have. I would be surprised if he doesn't end up POY.

Sorry, I only saw the last 10 minutes or so. It has a feeling of a home comeback. Actually, it feels like a March game. Anyway, they are playing even better since I first posted and Virginia looks a little lost right now.
