Paige had a tough year, no question about that. With that said, he is a stud and put up real nice #s the year before. IMO it will come down to Dunn and him for the top PG spot.
Can't take a point guard list seriously when they rank Paige ahead of Dunn.

Dunn is a stud and put up great stats last year, but are we all going to pretend that he didn't perform terribly in many of PCs biggest games of the year?

11/30 VS Kentucky: 1-7 shooting for 6 points and 10 turnovers...10!!
2/24 VS Nova: 2-10 shooting for 4 points and 6 turnovers
3/20 VS Dayton (only career tournament appearance): 4 for 13 shooting for 11 points and 7 turnovers

Dunn had the second most turnovers in the nation last year and not many guys were even close to his total of 131. Everyone looks at high high assist/game total but he didn't even have a great A/TO ratio. He could very easily be the best PG (even the best player) in 2015/16 but to say that he unquestionably deserves the top spot is ludicrous.

Last year he was coming off of basically missing two straight years of basketball due to injury. If you watch him play it's pretty clear he is more talented than Paige, With a year under his belt I expect that gap to widen.

I fully believe Dunn has the most potential of any returning college PG but he has two major issues to fix in his play 1) unforced TOs and 2) 3-Pt range. He's not Rondo bad but he's not necessarily who you wanted taking a three to win a game last year. That's not even getting into his injury history, dude needs some good luck this year.

Everything I've read about Maryland this fall leads me to believe that there is a good chance Diamond Stone probably won't start for MD. Might not really be too big of a concern.
Yeah, especially given the fact that we play them early enough in the season where he will probably still be making adjustments.

Robert Carter seems like the big that UConn needs to be worried about. A lot of reports coming out that he will be one of Maryland's best players this year

I actually feel pretty good about Miller matching up with him. He's giving up some size, but Miller is long and has great footwork on defense.

Biggest games of the year? The 1st one was at the beginning of the season and the Nova game was one out of 3 he played against them, the entire team laid a dud in the tournament in the "neutral court" game. How about the Big east tournament where his average in the 2 games was 20 points 10 assists 7 boards and 4 steals, against two NCAA teams. This kid is good, really good, NBA all-star caliber good. It's okay to say so.

All I hear are excuses for his bad games...and you selectively skipped the part where I said he's a stud and could easily be the best player in college basketball. No mention of his absurdly high turnover number, but I wouldn't expect anything less with the obvious PC bias.

Damn, this was actually a pretty good thread for a while. Ah well, everybody out.

Yes, his turnovers were way to high, if that is not cut down this year, then all these pre-season awards will be wrong.

Turgeon had two solid center recruits his first year ... and they both turned into duds (from Turgeon's perspective) and transferred. HEY ... I am from Mizzou now: "Show ME!"

Really hoping this kid can get cleared to play for this season. A front court of 6'10" 325 pound Justin McBride and 7'6" 300 pound Tacko Fall would be a lot of fun to watch - even if they're only on the court together for a couple minutes a game.

http://espn.go.com/mens-college-bas...cko-fall-prepared-sue-ncaa-waiver-not-granted

Tacko Fall, a 7-foot-6 freshman at Central Florida who had a 3.6 GPA his final two years of high school, is prepared to sue the NCAA if he doesn't win a last-ditch academic waiver, his guardian told ESPN on Tuesday.

"He will be represented," Amanda Wettstein, who has been Fall's guardian for the past two years, told ESPN. "This just isn't right."

Wettstein has been Fall's guardian since he arrived at Liberty Christian Preparatory School [Tavares, Florida] two years ago. She told ESPN that Liberty Christian, which has been in existence for 25 years, has been placed under an extended evaluation status by the NCAA for a minimum of two full academic certification cycles.

The NCAA informed Central Florida on Friday that it is only accepting 7 1/2 of his core courses. It also told UCF that Fall is no longer allowed to practice with the team.
