Been looking forward to this one. Will be cold but will suck it up and attend. Both teams coming in on rolls. Looks like Quiggy will get the start which is a quality starter for a midweek game. He's around the plate (5BBs in 19IP) and goes after hitters. Also looking forward to seeing Honeyman. Only common opponent is Rutgers (BC won 6-4). BC has been battle tested: Beat #10 Tennessee and beat Va. Tech, Fla St., and NC St. (all of whom have been ranked at some point this season). Tale of Tape (BC has played 1 more game): Avg .282-.267 Uconn, HRs 28-26 Uconn, SBs 36-31 Uconn (both teams like to run), ERA 4.72-5.12 Uconn. BC has played the tougher schedule as mentioned above so take that into account. Should be very interesting and a good test/measuring stick heading into Big East play.BC was down last year but has bounced back in a big way early this season. This is an important game due to the fact they are ranked and this might be one of the metrics the committee utilizes in determining seeding or even getting into the tournament if we don't win the Big East.
Haha very well said. The forecast also seems to be deteriorating a bit. We'll see if its a go.Bundle up. Cold, no sunshine, perhaps wet. Good March New England baseball weather
We’ll see how this shakes out…
Projected Starters
RHP Michael Quigley (2-0, 2.37 ERA) vs. RHP Luke Delongchamp (0-0, 10.80 ERA)
Corrected in articleFunny. They say Michael Quigley, but they have Stephen Quigley's record posted. We'll see if they have the wrong first name posted.
