Here’s a nugget I just found out... I’ve been listening to the game on WHUS thru the Tune-In app, it’s fine. I just asked Alexa to play WHUS radio, she obeyed (as she does), and the broadcast she provided is easily 45 seconds to a minute ahead of the app. Just saying, for those of you, like me, who live out of state.

The problem with Alexa is it can't find the WHUS sports stream when the game is only being carried over the internet and not being carried over the air.

Fedko needs to clean up his swing and miss when a runner steals. He always falls over the plate. Luckily no catcher has used it to his advantage yet.

Women... amiright?

Moriarty has a single and 2 walks today, and a run scored. Like I said, he continues to contribute to the offense since he got back in the lineup.

Coogs still up 6-2, now T8
UCF up 5-2 in 7th.
UC 6-3 over KU B8

Big road series next week vs. the Memphis RPI killers. Great performance today.

Interesting 3 weeks coming up for UConn. First off, at Memphis, which only has 2 conference wins so far. I rarely say anything like this about AAC opponents, but the Huskies could really use a series sweep against the Tigers rather than just taking the series. Then the final two AAC series of the regular season are against Houston and East Carolina at home. Those are going to be two extremely tough series to take, and they are back to back. Houston is super hot, and East Carolina up until they faced Houston was as good as it gets in the AAC. It should be an interesting 3 weekends, and it will really determine if UConn gets to host in Norwich in the first week in June.

ECU is making a push. Down 2, bottom 9, 1 out, man on 2nd and 3rd

Edit: ECU loses 6-5

No. 20 Huskies Snag Series Win vs. Tulane, 9-2

Notes:
  • Troy Stefanski extended his hit streak to 13 games with a base hit in the eighth.
  • The Huskies have won five consecutive weekends for the first time since the 2015 season.
  • Anthony Prato has recorded 10 multi-hit games in the Huskies last 15 contests.
  • Isaac Feldstein is hitting .360 AVG, 5 HR's and 13 RBI's (seems to be missing an qualifier/time frame?)
The Huskies have the week off for finals before traveling to Memphis to begin a three-game series on Friday, May 4 at 7:30 p.m. ET

This has been a huge week for Houston with their sweep of East Carolina on the road. They are now at 50 in the RPI. That is a jump of 33 spots for the week. A couple of weeks ago Chris Jones was saying during a UConn game broadcast that Houston was in quite a bit of trouble with their RPI in terms of getting an at large bid. Not anymore, the Cougars now are definitely in the thick of things now for an at large bid, and it helps that they are the hottest team in the conference. Next week they play Central Florida at home, then they close out the conference schedule on the road at UConn.

As for the AAC, the conference just passed the ACC for 3rd in Conference RPI. Seven AAC teams are in the top 82 in RPI. This very well could be the year the AAC gets 5 bids to the NCAA tourney.

UConn is currently 13 in the RPI.
