As for the AAC, the conference just passed the ACC for 3rd in Conference RPI. Seven AAC teams are in the top 82 in RPI. This very well could be the year the AAC gets 5 bids to the NCAA tourney.

UConn is currently 13 in the RPI.
Not only is the AAC #3 in conference RPI, but we're extremely close to the #2 spot. Just keep on winning Huskies!

Based on D1’s “How They Fared” it looks like UConn may move up a couple spots in the rankings

Gavin Keefe game story for the New London Day. Turns out Jake Wallace was not available for this game as he was serving a game suspension for being late.

UConn baseball bounces back to beat Tulane and win series

Penders alluded to that in his interview... I was trying to remember his workload the past week and then moved on and didn’t look back. Interesting that Chris Jones never mentioned it. Rules are rules.

I missed that when I listened to the interview, I'll have to check that out.

Edit: Yup, Penders referenced it, saying one of the big arms in the bullpen was not available.

Yeah, I had noticed that the AAC was creeping up on the Big 12 in the RPI 2 spot as well, but I figured I would wait and see if the upward trend continued before bothering to mention it. At any rate, the cat is now out of the bag.
