$2 Miller Lite Night is back

I'm still waiting for $ 2 tequila shots

That’s reason number two to have $2 beer night for the the Georgetown game. We don’t need any incentive to show up and be loud for Creighton.

Reason number one is Cooley and all the shade he threw at our fans at Providence and last years $2 beer game.

Plus his role with CFJ and the way he went about things going to Georgetown places him on the deserving list to receive our best behavior.
Seems like a missed opportunity to to lay the foundation for a rivalry if they ever get their act together.

$2 dollar beer night should officially include Cooleys name in it. I’m sure there’s some gems a more creative person than myself could come up with.

The whole reason we did $2 beer night in the first place was because Creighton did it to us in 2022. Not because of Cooley.

This is a real question: why is $2 beer night a dis on the visiting team?

Ohhh I didn’t know that. I feel like declaring it Cooley’s Happy Hour and having it follow him to Georgetown is a better trolling job than doing it to Creighton two years later. I also dislike Cooley more than I do Creighton so maybe I’m biased. Is it possible for a school to have a rivalry focused on an opposing coach rather than another team if that team sucks?

I jumped on the Creighton game when it was available. Was surprised it didn't sell out instantly. Going to be a great night

The lines were awful last year I think I waited 45 min to get a beer but the crowd was awesome. Everyone was still screaming when we were blowing them out. I was fired up just from how the providence fans were at their building.

Good timing, because today was the launch day for our $2 Beer Nite shirt on 22 Threads. Figured I share in case anyone wants to scoop one...

This is smart business bc you can make a $3 Beer Nite shirt in a few years

I have an acquaintance that is a beer expert and judges micro-brew competitions at beer festivals etc. He is also a master brewer himself. A few years ago he and several of his beer expert buddies were at the wedding of a mutual friend in Maine. A discussion about what is the best mainstream light beer ensued. They all agreed it was Miller Light and said that was a common belief among beer tasters. I personally agree, Miller Light is the best crappy beer.

Does this count for all Miller/Bud/Coors products? Or just their “Lite” options? If the latter, I totally agree that Miller is the best. But if the former, I think Coors Banquet or Miller High Life are best

I think it was a light beer discussion as I remember it. I agree with you on Banquet and High Life, both are pretty good "regular" beers.

It was shocking how difficult (maybe it shouldn’t have been) it was to find miller lite on draft or even in cans in San Francisco and San Diego, the two cities I was in during the tournament. Granted I wasn’t going to absolute crap holes for the sake of drinking miller lite alone, but I did have to resort to drinking High Life bottles a couple times.

Even sports bars seemed to pick one of the big three Bud/Coors/Miller. Totally different from what I remember with sports bars back in the northeast where they had multiple options

I channel HFD and came up with:
Ed Cooley Needs a Miller Lite Night

I want to see how high they build a tower of empty beer cans. It was quite impressive during the last game.

Still, it was the spontaneity and the orginalism that made that great. Let it rest in peace and make their own beer can sculpture.
