Some rain in the forecast but I may head over to watch some of this and report back

TC w/ a day of rest…

With Zach Stephenson in the lineup in place of Simmons, it would seem that Korey Morton is not yet ready to play the field for a full game. Perhaps he will get some time off the bench again.

Chris Jones says Northeastern has had the same sort of injury problems that Rhode Island has had this season. Batting averages in the Northeastern starting lineup are not exactly impressive.

Bottom 2nd, Chudoba walks the leadoff hitter, but strands him. No score.

Top 3rd, UConn goes down in order again, that's 9 outs in a row for the Storrs Husky offense.

Bottom 3rd, Chudoba with a scoreless inning, Donlan throws out another stolen base attempt to end the inning. No score.

Credit to the NU pitcher. He is working quickly and getting ahead of our guys early.

Top 4th, Casey Dana with a 2 out single for UConn's first hit of the day, he steals 2B, but is thrown out at the plate on an infield hit. No score. Possible that Dana's hand/wrist may be injured from his adventures on the the bases.

Casey Dana comes out of the game, Simmons is now in the game.

Another example why I dislike sliding head first into the bases. Seems to me less likely to get hurt sliding feet first.

Bottom 4th, with 1 out and 2 runners on scoring position, a wild pitch brings in a run for Northeastern. 1-0. A squeeze bunt results in a run and an out with a runner on 2B. 2-0 Northeastern.

Two runs so far on no hits. Two walks. Hbp wild pitch and suicide squeeze. Getting small balled by the other huskies

Top 5th, Donlan with a 1 out double, but he is stranded. 2-0 Northeastern.

Smith arguing w the ump on check swing when he easily could’ve gotten to first. Team is sleep walking

Bottom 5th, leadoff bunt single. Chudoba comes out, Jack Sullivan in to pitch for UConn.

After getting 2 outs, Sullivan issues back to back walks to load the bases. Ground out ends the inning with no runs coming in. 2-0 Northeastern.

Penders needs to replace his 3rd base coach.

Top 6th, UConn goes down 1-2-3. The offense is having a hard time of it today, that's for sure.
