I am happy that Villanova is playing well now, but early on, they struggled when they could have built a stronger resume. Marquette had a very experienced squad returning but they too underperformed early in the season. Teams need to perform well in their OOC as well, especially against the better teams which sadly the BE has not done.
Dillon is a good coach but she needs to get talent earlier (out of HS) and retain it (not lose it to P4 schools) as well as win as soon as the season starts.
Honestly, she and Flannery are the only BE coaches worthy of any legitimate coaching discussion. Everyone else is mediocre at best and do not push the BE forward.

Whether Villanova is underrated, overrated I haven’t a clue.. but I do think Denise Dillon is a great coach..

I agree with you on Dillon. Flannery is a very good coach as well.
