X at #1 is great click bait! Nova with Moore and PC with Hopkins might have the 2 best players in the league next year. If they play at that level it's hard to see those teams not out-performing these predictions. The same could be said for Marquette if Cam Jones takes another leap like he did...
Fell asleep after listening to the excellent show and I dreamt Uconn was still out there beating OOC foes by double digits. They were entering other conference tournaments, trying to get into the NIT and CIT just causing mayhem. Didn't want to wake up.
In the same time UConn has gone 5-0 in Championship games the entire Big 10 conference has gone 1-6. If it was that easy everyone would be doing it.
Side note the Big East has gone 7-0 in that same span.
Winning #5 this year was amazing. Now I'm enjoying basking in learning about the history that was made. One fact I heard that I loved was that in the last 16 tournaments only three teams seeded #3 or higher have won it all:
#3 UConn 2011
#7 UConn 2014
#4 UConn 2023
Curious what fun...
3 D2 wins lol...91-24 is the highest OOC winning % for the BE ever! At 79.1% it's 10% points higher the the second highest winning % ever (1980) so you can scratch the 3 D2 wins and still finish with the best % ever. There's still a few games left to go so we''' see where things settle at.
Well uconn's schedule has been soft. Uconn is tied with Depaul for 2nd most Q4 W's in the BE with 6 one behind SJU with 7.
Everyone now knows Mich is not a top 25 team but a bad team? They've lost 3 Q1 games (shu, @arizona & unc) and 1 Q2 game (Minny which only has 1 loss so far to Mich st...
I like the projections but I do think if marq needs 17 then shu and x should be right there also.. But really the only one I would change is pc. Right now they have the 3 Q1 wins which is tied for most in the country (X has 3 also). They have a Quad score (Quad wins vs Quad losses) that ranks...
The BE will finish the OOC as a top 2/3 league and at this point has 10 teams that can go .500 in league play and still end up with 17+ wins on the season. How many wins will it take to get in we don't know but it's not too early to say 5 are a lock...which 5 maybe.
Exactly, but also at this point since the OOC is pretty much done the odds are crazy for the league to get less than 5 teams now. This will be a BE regular season with nearly 0 bad loss opportunities and full of quality wins.
Yeah Nova isn't losing to bad teams they actually are losing to legit f4/nc contenders. After 3 losses to those teams I think Nova has shown that they are solidly one tier below f4/nc status, which I believe based on resumes can be said for the hall, X, and uconn.
I think Uconn has the most...
As the OOC season ends I think it's time to take Nova off the pedestal that everyone has put them on. I don't think they are the runaway favorites based on play so far. If they are there at the end so be it but what I see is a team that has proven less than a few other BE teams. They have one...
Yes nova has a great set of power guards who thrive on playing bully ball and hitting open 3's but not speed. The UCLA game was a guard battle of speed vs bully ball. The only truly quick guard that will get PT is Bryan Antoine when he comes back. CG wasn't that fast before he blew his knee out...
This Nova game is brutal. Bricks everywhere, fouls every second, one on one every trip down by both teams. Didn't know how unathletic most of Nova's roster is either, especially their guards.
Just get the W nova and let's go home.
Overall I agree with you partner. I just think Justin Lewis is a star in the making especially in Smart's system. He showed flashes last year but Wojo sux as a coach. Morsell is playing for the pro scouts which means he's motivated. He is a heck of an athlete but he plays under control and his...
Not sure Depaul is a bad team this year. They've looked solid with a new coach and they are only playing with 7 scholarship players. Big time tranfer from Oregon (Jalen Terry) & a top 100 recruit have yet to play this season because the NCAA hasn't cleared them yet. Another transer from Kansas...
I know where you coming from but it's not like Kofi went down during the game. He was suspended a couple of weeks ago so that means Illinois was ranked #10 in the latest poll based on him not playing and Seton Hall has looked much better than them. They went into Ann Arbor and no fluke beat a...
If his ranking is based mostly on actual games and not preseason hype or end of season projections I say why not? They have by far the most impressive win of the season (Duke, BYU, UCLA & Gonzaga distant), they look much better than Illinois who is ranked #10, and they blew out the cupcakes they...
Examining 10 potential moves in conference realignment
Kansas to the B1G
Gonzaga to the BE
Cool look into some moves that now seem less like pipedreams and more like long shots and some possibly to so you're saying there's a chance.
Top 100 Players 2021-22
RJ is the only Huskie on the list at #78. Gonzaga's Timee at #1. Two freshmen in the top 5.
Big East with 12 players on the list. I think that's a pretty good representation given the amount of proven talent that has just exited the league. WIth the hgih quality of...
