This guy can't even fire someone appropriately. Anyone else thrilled that a disgruntled former OC will now be the recruiting coordinator?
You can't make up this stupidity. LMFAO.
Your solution of dropping football and moving to the Big East is also a death knell.
It's just that your option also eliminates us from P5 consideration.
Whether we stay in the AAC or kill football to "save hoops" and move back to the "Big East", UConn athletics is done. Finished. Both scenarios are death knells for the whole department.
P5 is the only way out and that lifeboat just left port and won't be back for another 5-10 years. By that...
We need an entire new staff. A new head coach with head coaching experience. One that won't have to learn on the job. One that will hire a staff who has demonstrated competence in the past. An OC who has actually called plays would be a nice start.
I really think it's time for people to stop responding to Chief. Guy is a total self absorbed attention seeking clown. The act is more than old and tired now. It's sad.
And RKG's. I don't want to hear another gd reference to RKG's every again. It's like hearing the word "prototype".
We need to recruit football players. Our recruiting has been a joke.
Worst decision I've seen in a while to play him against Temple. Don't expect him to admit to that mistake now by doing the right thing.
Hope Confident Carl and Exit 4 are happy.
What a joke.
Well what was the point of your post? If the team has quit on Diaco for the 2nd time in 3 years and they lose these last 2 games badly? And they bring Diaco back?
The program will be dead beyond repair.
If these 2 games go the way I think they will AND if we retain Diaco I will be writing a eulogy for UConn football in Jan. It will be dead. And I'm not using hyperbole. There will Yankee Conference crowds next year.
NO spitting match here with anyone, actually agree with most everything on this topic except big time fans don't want to go. Like many I have waited for this for years and along with what really constitute as
BIG TIME FANS will be there. Again no slander, I understand there are several levels...
Hmmmmmm should I trust Exit 4's evaluation or the numerous college coaches who do this for a living? Tough call.
Again, he may turn out to be a good QB down the road. But he wasn't ready at this point in his development. Don't even know how people can argue otherwise.
Whaler, myself, and a few others were Public Enemy #1 here during Diaco's first year. There were signs from day 1. We either hired a brilliant coach or a used car salesman.
We got the used car salesman.
It's not as much about burning a RS as it is that he obviously was not ready to play and the timing couldn't possibly be worse.
As far as DW threatening to leave? LMAO. If that's why he played him he should be fired on the spot.
You need to develop thicker skin. You're not in an echo...
