Louisiana Tech - Todd Fitch, Offensive Coordinator/Wide Receivers

This is proof that it is head coaching philosophy that matters. Fitch was the OC at BC last year and this year he is on the Broyles list. New OC at BC, same basically inept and boring offense averaging only 2 pts per game better than in 2015. In the mean time, Fitch is putting up huge numbers at LaTech with a head coach that likes to score points..

You can pine for a change at OC and believe that it will make a difference, but until the head coach changes his core outlook on the function of an offense, it will stay the same no matter who the OC is.

You know who the HC at LTech is?

They actually both have UConn on their resume. Fitch was here back in the mid 90's w/ Skip. I just didn't consider that "recent past" when talking about the Moorhead, Orlando and Brown trio.

you're really slipping. too much Diaco

FWIW per coachingsearch.com:

UConn: Asked if staff changes are coming, Bob Diaco told reporters, “We'll talk about that here in the future.”

I think we will be looking at some FCS staff as well -

But I don't understand why Diaco would replace Corley - he is going to be a star. Why do former UConn coaches keep becoming stars elsewhere?

Although I love Corley we can't continue to be a school where the coaches get their first opportunities at their perspective coaching positionstaff on the coaching tree. not at the higher levels. We'll just be a stepping stone for them. Not a good look for a FBS program trying to go P5

We need an entire new staff. A new head coach with head coaching experience. One that won't have to learn on the job. One that will hire a staff who has demonstrated competence in the past. An OC who has actually called plays would be a nice start.
Unfortunately for us fans that knew this all along, the powers that be and used to be chosen the opposite.

because it's easier to recruit anywhere else but here

Guys, I read an older rumor online last night on some board that Diaco would be let go on Jan. 1 and we'd try to go after either Rich Rod (if Arizona cans him), Moorhead or Orlando (if they're interested and still avaliable).

I still think its pretty nuts that we haven't heard a peek from Benedict on Diaco's future or football in general after this horrible year. Could this mean he's got plans in the works to make it happen?

Any thoughts?

It wouldn't surprise me I know we will hear more after Jan. 1st. Those three coaches could fit our system. I really like Moorhead because he has experience at UConn and he can recruit. Benedict definitely has plans but it is in the wraps and we won't hear too much about it and that the right thing to do. Lower publicity the better sometimes.
