problem with pubs, especially when you call them in the "WEEDS" Thanksgiving eve, some gal claims- "sure we get UConn games and Directv", but has no clue what HDnet is. We need confirmation from the remote control, Guru- for Sliders Berlin, etc.
Hi Everyone-
For those with questions about where to find the Battle 4 Atlantis on HDNet here are the channels and carriers:
AT&T U-verse- Channel 1105
Charter Cable - setting up special game feed in CT and MA on Channel 764
Comast - setting up special game feed in the following systems and...
any temporary channels, in Greater Hartford?. If not Joe D on the radio or, if my Thanksgiving Lunch lets out early, Sliders will be open for Night hoops & NFL.
I called Sliders in Wallingford and they are open, but the manager said they don't get HDNet. Not sure if that's the case in Southington but it may be worth a phone call.
Edit: I called Southington Sliders - The manager said they DO have it. Going to try again later at the Wallingford one, as I...
Please buy yourself an HD TV on Friday. They are practically giving them away for free.
HD boxes have the same monthly fee as regular boxes now.
It's time to upgrade. There's no reason not to.
There is no Boston event and they played in NYC in 2009 and will be back in 2013 I believe.
They schedule these a long way in advance so the NC has no effect in the decision making.
HDNET is offered in certain areas if you have Digital cable. Cox does not offer it. As far as Versus, you also have to have a digital plan to get it. You can also see the games on versus via live streaming at http://www.time4tv.net/2011/09/versus-channel.html
So what the hell is HDNet and Versus?? Does this mean that the UConn games won't be on TV? So I might as well schedule another piece of pie and grappa instead??
An HDTV can broadcast a SD signal (in standard definition), but a SDTV cannot broadcast an HDTV since presumably it would have been invented before HDTV.
Thanks. I'll be back in Poughkeepsie, NY on Friday, and I know I get Versus there, but alas, no HDNet. Cablevision is a bunch of morons. It took them a full season of no Yankees on TV to carry the YES Network.
Any idea which games Friday and Saturday are on which network?
I have a 12" cathode ray tube in the back room. So I don't know squat about HD and TV and HDNet and so on.
But wouldn't any TV be able to broadcast a high def signal? It just wouldn't be high def?
I'll be at my aunt and uncle's place in New Jersey. They have Verizon FIOS. Any idea what channel it is there? I didn't see anything mentioned about FIOS, but I don't know if that's because you can't get HDNet on FIOS or because you can't get FIOS in Connecticut.
...or Christmas. These games get on national tv and almost always sell out. Recruits also go to these big games.
The Battle 4 Atlantis is on HDNet and Versus, most people don't visit these channels regularly unless they want to see hour long Girls Gone Wild infomercials or hockey. Most in the...
I have Cox Cable also. What's the difference between HDNet & Universal HD? Different Stations? On some Universal HD programs the HD Net logo appears in the lower right hand corner of the screen.
...the tournament against UNC-Asheville on Thursday at 7 p.m. (WTIC-AM, no TV).
This after Borges of the Register wrote that the game is on HDNet and it was all over this board yesterday (http://borgesblognhr.blogspot.com/2011/11/uconn-game-on-hdnet.html).
I don't think Amore pays as much...
Just a reminder..
HDNet covers the 7:00pm and 9:30pm games
Versus covers the 2:00pm and 4:30pm games
If we win on thursday, we play Game 5 (Friday at 2:00pm on Versus)
If we lose on thursday, we play Game 7 (Friday at 7:00pm on HDNet)
Is that certain? I was looking on my DVR schedule and HDNET lists the semifinal and final games for this tournament. I didn't even look at Versus because HDNET has all the games on the schedule.
