The team needs everybody to get healthy so the roles and rotations can get clearly defined for the offense to gel. There has been too much instability. In the meantime, the defense has been stellar which is key for making a deep run in March.

The opt outs would have happened no matter the bowl and it is happening at every school. And, it seems the players didn't officially opt out until yesterday (?) so how is this Dave's fault?

I think they couldn't confirm who was opting out until yesterday as that is when players had to report back to campus for practice. We already knew about Bell and Fagnano being out for a while. And, these things are fluid.

This is the way college football (and basketball) works. Coaches move constantly and he probably got a substantial raise to move.

We need to cut out the debate and wish Joe good luck in the future! He helped turn around UConn football and he gave us his all. At this point, he has a shot of going pro and I doubt anybody would have thought that last year. Maybe he will be a back up and stick around in the NFL for a number...
