Colorado State is expected to make UConn coach Jim Mora the school’s next head coach.

This is college football and coaches leave all of the time. Think about this. Instead of paying a coach to leave due to poor performance, UConn is getting paid for the coach to leave! because he was successful! This is what all of us want - a coach that succeeded at UConn so other colleges...

I don't know if Benedict is that upset with Mora as he did everything Dave wanted. He brought UConn football respect. And, Mora is going to turn 65 next season, so the move by Mora just accelerates the timing of the next coach. And, UConn will get $1.5 million in the buyout.

A large % of CSU's revenues are from indirect and direct institutional support and student fees. They had $5.2 million in ticket sales for all sports.

Sometimes, it's not about the money. He turns 65 next season and it looks like he is choosing to finish his career closer to home.

Thanks for showing that UConn can win at football again. I'm surprised he would leave for CSU, but he is 65 next season and he is a west coast guy and I don't think the P4 were going to hire him. If you look at the salaries of the future Pac 12, Mora was paid more at UConn than the highest...

    Players Era Festival

For the basketball schools with big traveling fanbases, the Players ERA in Las Vegas doesn't make economic sense. I would think that Duke, UConn, Kentucky,... would make more money playing neutral site games at Boston Garden, MSG, Atlanta,... or even home games. That said, the concept of the...

    Xavier’s Enrollment Challenges

Applications to Xavier have surged over the past decade, up 60% (due to the common app), but the yield of accepted students has plummeted by about half. Oddly, SAT scores have gone up over time. Acceptance rates are in the high 80s, so they need to figure out how to improve their yield...

    More trouble in ACC paradise?

ND decided to not regularly play Big East schools in football. When ND looked to join the ACC, the ACC forced ND to play 5 ACC schools each year in football. I'm not saying that ND destroyed the Big East, but they certainly didn't help the conference.

    2025-26 Coaching Carousel

Edsall did not run off Lashlee. Lashlee was a rental as he had to get out from under Gus Malzahn to prove he could be an offensive coordinator on his own.

    Non-Key Tweets

Alumni and students. You must not realize how big the colleges are in California. Yes, USC, UCLA, and Berkley each have over 45k students, but UCSD, Fullerton, Long Beach, Davis, SD State, Northridge, Irvine, San Jose St. each have over 35k students. I would estimate there are 3x to 4x the...

According to reports, it sounds like Stanford has an idea of who will be their next head coach and it could be announced by next Sunday. Keep our fingers crossed.
