Former UConn QB Chandler Whitmer signed by Arena Football League's Albany Empire

Ryan Griffin:s Dad here: If you get close to the Whitmer family give them our best, Chandler was always a class act along with his family. He always wanted to win, and never stopped trying. He also knew how to handle a loss, which is always a good measure of a person. Post-wins are easy living...

    Hello old friends

As Ryan prepares for the playoff game against the Patriots, I thought I would share this article with you guys. He is excited for the Huskies moving forward, and so am I. Coach Edsall sat in our living room 9 yrs ago and convinced us as a family that Ryan should attend UConn to get his degree...

    Big 12

Carl, one more voice added..... Texans' Ryan Griffin pumps UConn for Big 12 expansion

    Big thanks to Coach Foley

Class guy, great coach. He recruited my son, and I feel he is personally responsible for getting Ryan to Sunday football. Ryan had a few other D1 schools courting him, but none put in the time and effort that Mike Foley did. That man sat through countless high school basketball practices to get...

Auriemma says it's time for UConn fans to embrace football (Elsberry)

A Boneyard tailgate crew is a great idea. I started a parents tailgate in my son's second year, with help from Nostical (also known as The Guvnah), and Big Tim Willman, it grew from twenty people to over 250 members today, and still growing. I attended the spring game to check in on them, and it...

    Player Development Series

Great idea. They brought Ryan in from Houston for this too. He was excited to be a part of this. Absolutely more Alums should be involved, especially Sunday players. The young kids need inspiration from time to time to stay motivated.

    Darius Butler

Obviously I watched the whole game. Darius Butler was everywhere. Ryan Griffin also well represented UConn with career highs in receiving, and Donald Brown was looking great until a stinger took him out. Ryan actually had a tackle on Darius Butler "post" interception. Go Huskies.

See you at the 50 at halftime

Nothing like doing battle with the red line gest-apo officers. Miss that. God forbid you have your toe on the line. Well, see you at the 40!

See you at the 50 at halftime

Really wanted to be at Mich and Maryland. Travel for Sunday games kills any Sat. plans. See you Fri. JR

See you at the 50 at halftime

Boneyarder friends, I will finally make it back this Fri. night to the Rent. I hope to see some old friends and fans I used to stand with behind the red line. The last game with the Colts brought back old memories seeing Donald Brown and Darius Butler on the same field as Ryan. Good stuff...

OT: Anthony Sherman gets a TD

Way to go Sherm. I miss those days of standing on the 50 with his grandfather who was always so proud. He was a machine on special teams. I always thought he was made to play on Sundays with that motor. Here's to a long career.

On the bright side...Ryan Griffin 2 catches for 18 yds. First catches?

Thanks KGun. I did. Stole your pic!

On the bright side...Ryan Griffin 2 catches for 18 yds. First catches?

Hey Sportsart, Thanks. and yes first catches (not counting preseason) Owen Daniels retrieved the game ball after his first catch and gave it to Ryan. Class act. I have it.

Texans Griffin makes most of the opportunity

Thought you folks would like this. UConn is being well represented by Griff and Kendall Reyes. http://www.csnhouston.com/football-houston-texans/talk/texans-griffin-makes-most-opportunities

    Griff and the Texans

Sounds like a country band I know, but I figured I would check in to the BY and update. Ryan has made it through mini-camp and is in OTAs. He is working hard, the competition is fierce as expected. Here is a pic of him and the other tight ends. #84 on the left. Will update here from time to...
