You are clearly feeling a little emotional and maybe a little triggered and missed the whole point of the post.
Other schools do a better job of spacing the floor putting their players in positions to take advantage of their strengths and do a better job of exploiting mismatches. Our team has...
It's interesting how all the guards Hurley recruited have now all left the program. Do you think it's because the offense Hurley runs is not fun to play in with no spacing and little room to operate?
I should have first stated that this wasn't meant to be an anti Hurley post. I was trying to start a conversation specifically about Hurley's offense that he has been running the last couple years the X's and O's.
The team defense for the most part has been great all year and what has been...
If you were an elite Point Guard why would you want to come to play at UConn with the offense that Hurley currently runs?
I have my own opinions, but I would like to hear other peoples thoughts
You see pretty much run the same offensive sets in both the NBA and college.
In the NBA they just get into them quicker due to the shorter shot clock
The biggest difference has to do with the floor spacing due to the extended 3pt line and defensive 3second rule opens the game up more.

UConn is Currently Ranked 323 out of 350 D1 schools against man to man defense according to Synergy Sports Tech.
And 324th in FG Percentage against man to man
Against zone defense they are 154th
This is all on Hurley and the result of how poor his man to man offense really is.
Everyone is...
Even though Sid had a few highlight plays, he still get's lost on defense. It's probably the biggest reason why he wasn't getting minutes. For example, he was late closing out on shooters in the Wichita game that resulted in 4 3's during the game which is something that Hurley won't overlook.
Hurley's offense just doesn't put players in positions to utilize their strengths and make plays. I don't know how they don't see this when they watch hours of game fill trying to figure out what went wrong. I think it's pretty obvious.
His horns set and weave set they run need to go ASAP
It...
Hurleys offense is horrible and it’s frustrating to watch.
He’s got to stop running that Horns set and that weave action
-Players are never put in position to make plays
-The spacing is AWFU
-Not setting and using good screens off the ball
-No off the ball movement
-The bigs have no business...
NH was a tough matchup because for Carlton because he can’t guard people on the perimeter. His man hit 3 threes to start the game and took him off the dribble a few times as well. I don’t think it had much to do with his offense in this game. Whaley and Akok were the better match ups In this...
I just read an article a few days ago where a couple recruiting experts said he was the player listed outside the top 100 most likely to play in the NBA and I was looking forward to watching him in a Uconn jerseys
Assuming everyone is back. If Gilbert isn’t healthy and Hurley doesn’t bring in another guard we are going to run into the same exact problem we did this year on offense.
If Gilbert is healthy and playing at a high level I think we should win 20+. Having a year of experience and another year of...
