While football was the goal of this exercise, it is interesting to see how the basketball conferences shook out:

Average # of NCAA Tournament Appearances Per Team
1. Bi6 22.5
2. CSS 20.4
3. CTMike16 18.9
4. TierXVI 16.4

Average # of Final Four Appearances Per Team
1. Bi6 4.8
2. CSS 3.0
3. CTMike16 2.9
4. TierXVI 2.4

So clearly as you can see, Bi6 put together the best basketball conference. However, we all know that football owns the money and power. The strength of the basketball for the Bi6 does not make up for the complete weakness in football (the clear driver of this conference draft and expansion).

The CSS was the #1 football conference, and is the #2 basketball conference. The CSS has the highest revenue stream and the largest attendance figures. And the CSS has a true National footprint with teams in every time zone (can you say content for many sports channels)! And the pods set up for the conference are true to both geography and regional matchups allowing for limited travel budget despite the bredth of the conference. Bascially, the CSS has everything you could possibly want in a conference.

In my mind, it is a true runaway...the CSS is the clear winner in this draft!!!!:p
