The staff knew that Cobb had a history of issues off the court. Thats probably a big reason a lot of other schools stood clear of him. At the time, many of us thought this was a good signing. We dont have any facts yet, but this doesnt look like it will end well.

By the way, when was the last time there was good news from UConn athletics outside of the womens basketball program?

Everyone is entitled to their opinion. I see the head coach finally taking some action to discipline someone on a team with very little discipline as a step in the right direction. It may be merely a baby step but it is a step none the less.

As I reported after the WSU game, KO and Cobb had words. Cobb doesn’t accept authority and can disrespect it.

Suspended for “conduct detrimental to the team” according Uconn official statement.
Perhaps in regards to the post game scuffle? But Ollie is too soft to do this he’s only from Crenshaw. How do people forget that ?

We took a chance on several big guys to even field a team this past off season. We seem to have found something valuable in Whaley who came out of nowhere. If a guy like Cobb doesn’t work out, that’s to be expected. Not all of these guys were going to work.

But let’s see how Cobb responds.

Again, I wished we had a good Big’s Coach. Cobb is exactly the type ClydeV would straighten out.
Ollie has lost a bunch of players since he's been here. You can be a hardass as a coach but you need to retain respect. Being a jerk just for the sake of being a jerk never got anyone anywhere.

Some here wont believe it unless it's certified by god himself.
To be fair, a lot of the stories are hard to believe based upon KO’s image as a religious and standup guy(contrived or not). Not saying some of the stories aren’t true, but it is tough to reconcile with how he presents.
