Ha! I went to bed last thinking about how long it's been since Saturday. Woke up this morning and was going to post about this week being the toughest on fans but great opportunity for players and staff.
We've all been cbb fans without a team in the game and it's merely a week looking forward...
What hit me last night watching the game;
The things he does, he does so well. Moves that not many players could ever do. His ultra quick moves under the basket. He grabs the ball and makes lightening fast adjustments to score the ball.
Like one play with his back to the basket, received a pass...
What a great tune-up for the big dance.
X gave us an opportunity to wake up and made us play from behind.
The Johnnies gave us all we could handle in a close, hard fought game. And forced us to have to score 90+ to win.
Marquette took away most of our stuff and forced us to play a stupidly...
Love his contribution as we get into tournament time.
The talent was always there, and now his comfort level is rising in time for a run in the dance.
Great to see it.
Per Pitino “I told him, I’m going to give you these seats on one condition: You do not say anything to the officials. He’s a genius gas trader, and he’s got deep psychological problems with officials.”
Not sure what a "genius gas trader" is but I know some people with deep phycological...
Ya, he was in some pain there. Held his left arm by his side for at least 3-4 plays. Shaking his hand. Maybe a stinger? Hope he's 100 percent tomorrow.
We have to beat St Johns at MSG tomorrow. That should be top of the teams mind. But I'll admit that the staff has been pretty good at the prep work.
I'll be stressed.
6 players scored double figure. 10 player got rebounds. 8 players had assists. How does an opponent win against such a balanced attack?
The whole team better shoot free throws in their sleep tonight.
Great post.
This level of success doesn't come around to everyone. As a fan to be able to go to a game or sit down at the TV and always feel that your team has a really good chance of winning. Every game! We are very lucky.
I hated the slow start last night, but every Husky had a confidence...
I wonder if Bob Sr has some influence here. Whether in recent years or maybe during family dinner over many years.? There has to be some of this in the blood.
Marquette is not a one man team. And Shaka Smart will proficiently coach around Kolek.
They might not be as good, but I expect they will be very good non the less.
I'm just a fan on his first cup of coffee, but this brings up so many questions.
If this renders the NCAA less powerful, (and it seems so) will they be able to maintain a level of control over the game? Able to maintain a level of revenue? Eventually become just a sidebar?
Does each...
Glad he has this support group.
Hard times are hard. It must be harder when your worst days and biggest mistakes are played out in the publics eyes.
Best of luck to him.
As long as incoming class has the type of player who are willing to buy in to his culture. All the best players are willing to look inside themselves and be willing to commit to the torturous level of competition that Coach has established as a standard at UConn. Perhaps those kids are not the 5...
It looks like to me that DC has been planned for by opponents for 14 conference games now and the obvious plan is to get him in foul trouble and send him to the bench.
The Zebras can't help but look for anything that looks like it can be a foul and can't help but blow the whistle even when it's...
I was thinking this too. Also with the MSG battle for home court thing goin on. Adding to it.
I just don't know if Rick has enough years left in him unless he gets this team built back in the next two or three years. If the fans don't continue to come back he may call it a career.
I'm hoping...
