Second Live Period Report

This live period started on Wednesday afternoon. The same things happen that happened in the first live period. College staffs are out watching their recruits hoping to show recruits how much they really want them and also looking for new players to add to their radars.

To start off the second live period on Wednesday the staff was at the Hoop Group Summer Jam Fest. There were a bunch of high level D1 recruits at that tournament. Here are the main recruits the staff was watching:

2014- Paschal Chuckwu (C): He was watched by UConn once on Wednesday.

2014- Abdul Malik-Abu (PF): He was watched by UConn once on Wednesday.

2014- Kaleb Joseph (PG): He was watched by UConn twice on Wednesday.

2014- Goodluck Okonoboh (C): He was watched by UConn twice on Wednesday.

2014- Jared Terrell (SG): He was watched by UConn once on Wednesday.

Kevin Ollie then left the Hoop Group Summer Jam Fest and went to the nations capital for the Nike Global Challenge for Thursday. Here the Unites States is represented by four regional teams and the world is represented by four teams. Many elite players that aren’t in AAU tournaments this live period are helping represent the United States and the world. However, coach Miller stayed at the Hoop Group Summer Jam Fest the entire time and it seems like Rickey Moore went to the FCP Cream of the Crop on Saturday. Here’s who the staff keyed in on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday.

2014- Kameron Chatman (SF): He was watched by UConn twice on Thursday, once on Friday, and once on Saturday at the Nike Global Challenge.

2014- Daniel Hamilton (SG): The UConn commit was watched twice by UConn on Thursday, once on Friday, and once on Saturday at the Nike Global Challenge.

2014- Kelly Oubre (SF): He was watched by UConn twice on Thursday, once on Friday, and once on Saturday the Nike Global Challenge.

2014- Terry Larrier (SF): He was watched by UConn once on Thursday, once on Friday, and once on Saturday at the Nike Global Challenge.

2014- Khadeen Carrington (SG): He was watched by UConn once on Thursday, once on Friday, and once on Saturday at the Nike Global Challenge.

2014- Bonzie Colson (PF): He was watched by UConn once on Thursday, once on Friday, and once on Saturday at the Nike Global Challenge.

2014- Kaleb Joseph (PG): He was watched by UConn once on Thursday, once on Friday, and once on Saturday at the Hoop Group Summer Jam Fest.

2014- Goodluck Okonoboh (C): He was watched by UConn once on Thursday, once on Friday, and once on Saturday at the Hoop Group Summer Jam Fest.

2014- Abdul Malik-Abu (PF): He was watched by UConn once on Thursday, twice on Friday, and once on Saturday at the Nike Global Challenge. Then, once again on Saturday at the Hoop Group Summer Jam Fest.

2014- Jared Terrell (SG): He was watched by UConn twice on Saturday at the Hoop Group Summer Classic.

2014- Jordan McLaughlin (PG): He was watched by UConn once on Saturday at the FCP Cream of the Crop.

• 2015- Sedrick Barefield (PG): He was watched by UConn once on Saturday at the FCP Cream of the Crop.

• 2015- Cheick Diallo (PF): He was watched by UConn once on Thursday, twice on Friday, and once on Saturday at the Nike Global Challenge.

Sunday Ollie was back at the Hoop Group Summer Jam Fest. Sunday was the quarterfinals, semi finals, and championship for the tournament this live period. Here’s who Kevin Ollie was watching on Sunday:

2014- Abdul Malik-Abu (PF): He was watched by UConn three times on Sunday at the Hoop Group Summer Jam Fest.

2014- Jared Terrell (SG): He was watched by UConn three times on Sunday at the Hoop Group Summer Jam Fest.

Also, on Sunday Rickey Moore was out west at the Pangos Stars of the Future Camp. It’s not clear on who Moore watched though. This is due to it not being a tournament for AAU teams to enter. Recruits just enter independently and it’s more of a camp like structure. However, here’s a list of recruits Moore was possibly watching:

2015- Chimezie Metu (PF)

2015- Jeremy Hemsley (SG)

2016- Vance Jackson (SF)

2017- DeAndre Ayton (PF)
