Steven Enoch Commits to UConn

In a recruiting class that has taken many different turns, 2015 took a great turn today. Home grown big man Steven Enoch committed to UConn on his official visit this weekend. The 6’10” power forward, who bursted on to the scene this summer, has been a very big target for the staff ever since he was offered.

The senior at St. Thomas More is very young for his grade as he is still 16 years old. However, his game is very advanced for his age. Enoch has the ability to hit three pointers with consistency, and can play down low in the post with his size and strength. He seems like an ideal fit at the four spot for what coach Ollie has done in his two years. Enoch can definitely stretch the defense and rebound the ball very well.

Enoch joins PG Jalen Adams as the second commit in UConn’s 2015 class. Both players have been born and raised in New England, showing that UConn definitely can recruit and keep the top players home in their region. In addition to Enoch and Adams, look for the coaching staff to add two, maybe three, more players, with a center and a wing being the bigger priorities, and a guard as the third additional commit.
