Eh if UConn got the 3, then they’d have a Nova team they just handled and a hobbled Xavier team likely. Winning the BET doesn’t do a ton for seeding if the quality of those wins only ends up being so-so. Be the best, best the best…

Yeah I feel terrible for him, Xavier, and their fans. They will still be good, but I don’t think they are a Final Four team without him.

I really liked watching Xavier play at full strength. They were as good an offensive team as there is in the country with Freemantle.

I hate to see any player impacted like this, but this foot surgery is probably the finish line for Freemantle's future basketball career. I wish him the best in the next chapter of his life.

Disappointing for Xavier and their fans but, as someone else mentioned, having them at full strength for the NCAA tourney would help the Big East's performance, $ shares, and recruiting.
