An early season Yankee Conference game with Vermont. Mid '70s. A rec-league buddy got a fist full of tickets. Seem to recall his claiming to have gotten them from one of the Penders brothers. Not sure we really even needed tickets, as there weren't a lot of students there. I don't recall any details of walking in, but I can't recall anyone even checking the tickets, but I assume they were.
Five of us drove out there in a GTO.
It rained. Field House leaked.
We won a pretty high scoring game 90 to 80 or something very close to that, led by Tony Hanson and Lee Otis Wilson. John Thomas dominated the boards and set some man-sized screens, but I don't recall him scoring a lot of points.
I haven't seen any of the guys I rode out there with in at least 40 years. Wonder how many of them are still alive.
