The LP right before Dark Side of the Moon was Meddle, and this track is called One of these Days.

The studio version is just different enough that I include both renditions.

Two by King Crimson. The first is the most simple-sounding, yet intricate piece of music. It sounds like there are ten guitars playing, but it's two guitars and a Chapman stick plus drums. The Stick, for those of you not familiar with it, is a loosely strung instrument that's kind of like bass and guitar put together:

discipline - King Crimson

The second is pure beautiful noise:

The Crusaders, so sweet and funky.

Sadly, except for guitarist Larry Carlton, I think they are all gone now:

The song "Slap Shot" from Klaus Doldinger's group "Passport" - love the hook line on this song, very infectious:

"Way Back Home" is a gem of an instrumental by the Crusaders, and Wayne Henderson's introductions at the start really tell some of the backstory and tightness of this great group:

Wow, I hadn't thought of Doldinger and Passport in at least three decades -- Thanks for the memory.

I do not count Roger Waters' spoken words as lyrics and Clare Torry's voice is an instrument in this case.
