This has already answered. We are almost the worst team in the country in defending the three. He is our best perimeter defender. Go back and watch the game whoever he covered suddenly got cold for the most part. So what he does best perimeter defense is what we as a team does worst. In a game like Xavier it is not a surprise.

It's more like this. When an opponent is killing us by raining unconscious 3s and also taking it to the hole at will there has always been a guy for Hurley to pull over and say "See that guy there...the one raining 3s? Well I've had enough of that kid. I don't care what else you do on the floor, but STOP HIM. And I mean right friggin NOW!"

2022 that guy was Ajax
2023 that guy was Castle
2024 that guy appears to be Ross

Agreed, I thought it was very poor sportsmanship shown by the UConn fans yesterday. Dante Maddox Jr went to the free throw line with 9 seconds left in the biggest spot of the game, and the fans didn't quiet down and let him focus. And on some other possessions when Xavier had the ball the fans were yelling and Xavier players couldn't hear Sean Miller calling plays. Just a real black eye all around for UConn
Not sure what your point is. Isn't there something called home court advantage which hopefully includes an enthusiastic, supportive crowd?

As long as the cheers, chants aren't vile, vulgar, obscene etc go ahead ab support your team>

Wasn't at the game but at one point thought I heard a chant "refs sxxk). Although they called a brutal game at times this was over the top.

Let's see. It was a 45 minute game. McNeeley had serious foul trouble. He was subbed in for defense late in the second half and in OT.

Seems like a pretty simple explanation.
This. Ross played because McNeeley was in foul trouble. If not, minutes are different. The reason is was Ross v someone else was to try to d up the crazy shooting. Not much lore to it.
