I guess that settles that. No more question marks. No doubts. UConn is the best and it aint close. I think KML and Tuck will need more rest. They're still not 100%. KML shot well tonite but you could see KML and Tuck weren't where they were before their injury. For all those fans (ala Tenn especially) who were hoping UConn would lose, who were wishing UConn would lose, shame on you. This is a monster team without any weaknesses. Every time Duke got it going UConn answered. There was no fear, just perfect execution. Yeah UConn has a few hiccups and Im sure Geno will take care of that in practice. I kept hearing Duke will be better by the end of the year. Well so will UConn as Tuck and KML heal and Stoke, Chong BB get more playtime.

I saw a very relaxed confident UConn team tonite. When the Defense picked up Duke seemed lost and didn't know who to turn to. I mentioned Liston was a little slow and she did get off to a fast start but UConn made the adjustments then needed to make and shut her down. Gray was impressive with her floaters. You are witnessing one of the best teams WCBB has ever seen. So much balance on both sides of the ball. Every kid is a big game player. When I look at KML and Stewart side by side I think of Gerhig and Ruth. Well Sunday is Cal in MSG and we have Baylor and LVille later this season. After that then next biggest game will be in Nashville end of March in the FF .

Big game Breanna decided the best way to handle Duke is to bury them early so that their confidence would not get a kick start. Once that occurred, she just settled in and relaxed for the remainder of the game. Will she ever have to go to her "A" game for the entire 40 minutes? That would be a sight to see.

Nice OP - just to add:
I think some of the sluggishness toward the end of the first half and middle of the second half had to do with the team adjusting to KML and Tuck being back and disruption to what had become normal substitution patterns.
Interestingly Stef, Mo, and Stewart all played longer than their year to date average and near their individual highs in a game where the bench was full for the first time since half way through the second game.

I was pretty optimistic that we would keep the score close. I guess the game started around 7:05... I texted a former co-worker (a UNC fan) at 7:25 saying the game is over. I guess he wasnt watching the game... at that time. He texted me back asking if I had given up already.. the game just started.. Ten minutes later he texts me back.. "they are beating the crap out of yall"

The thought crossed my mind at the 2nd media timeout, (IN THE FIRST HALF ) that If I left now.... I could beat the traffic :(

On the post game studio discussion Lobo made the point that the best offense against Uconn is the Princeton read and react that ND plays - Duke's offense is just to easy for uconn to defense and that leads to forced one on one plays when it breaks down. I think that is really true - Uconn is just a terrible match-up for Duke. The two teams that have had success in the last 5 years are ND who is talented and runs a fluid offense and Baylor who had Griner and Sims, two unique talents. No one else has come close when Uconn has played a decent game. The only other team I can think has sometimes played tough is Stanford who runs a triangle offense which is also read and react.
Everyone tends to focus on the offense, but the most consistent thing with Uconn is their defense.
Anyway ... you should know better than to text a UNC cheat fan in the middle of a Uconn Duke game - just asking for a smack down - best to just shut down all wireless communications for the duration!

Well the ? now is who of the remaining opponents can beat UCONN or give them a 10 or under game? California, Baylor, and L'ville twice are the ranked teams on the schedule and in the NCAA's you have TN, Notre Dame, KY, No. Carolina, OKLA, aTXm, as the possible choices. UCONN would beat all of them but ND by 40 to 50 points! According to Kara L. & Rebecca L. post game, a team would have to play a motion style offense to have a chance, and that leaves ND! But I think UCONN's bigs would dominate ND's bigs and the guards would be a tossup! So UCONN would be able to beat ND! Remember when UCONN stopped beating itself they destroyed ND in Semi's of FF! UCONN's "D" is what sets them so far apart!

Absolutely a great observation by Rebecca. Few programs are capable of bringing players up to the level to play that type of read/option or read/react offensive scheme. You must recruit players with excellent ball IQ, as well.

The greatest quote was Geno doesn't make us practice until we get it right, he makes us practice until we cant get it wrong. That's a classic.
