Wow, Kennedy Fauntleroy is transferring from Georgetown

She’s a dynamo, that kid

Her head coach James Howard was fired last week. The coach she went to GT to play for will no longer be there.

Georgetown Athletic Department release - Director of Georgetown Intercollegiate Athletics Lee Reed announced on March 22, 2023, that the University has not renewed the contract of Women's Basketball Head Coach James Howard and Francis X. Rienzo.

"Coach Howard and his staff have shown a true commitment to the program and his student-athletes over the past six years," said Reed. "I want to thank him for both his dedication and leadership to our student-athletes and wish him well in the future."

A national search for the next head coach will begin immediately.

The Fauntleroy portal decision was announced (an unofficial one) in a post on the General board portal thread. It was posted on March 18th I think, around the time the Hoya coach was fired.

Wow...Kennedy Todd Williams, take her! Sorry for James Howard at Georgetown. He was building, wished the best for his players and obtained some more players this season. No dice. Georgetown wants to win, like Xavier and others.

Big coaching changes throughout the BIG EAST! I had the feeling that Jim Howard had
started to improve the Georgetown brand. How do people feel about Rick Patino moving
to the H.C. job at St. Johns?? ( men's, of course )

I have no use for Patino. I wonder if he has his plausible deniability assistants lined up. He's already told his team he doesn't want most of them for next year. No an admirable guy.

I don't follow MBB at all but I do know that his name is Pitino.
Pitino scandals at Louisville until they threw him out. My favorite parties of escorts (I prefer h**kers, it's more honest) for recruits which he claimed were the doing of a grad assistant. Didn't know grad assistants had that kind of money to throw around.

How old is he? And is winning that big a deal? Anticipating the answer from some quarters... come on, really? I thought sports was supposed to be character-building, not just another way to place a wager. I'll shut up.

Pitino is a swine. St John's must be desperate to become relevant again.

UCONN needs to get out of the portal business and get back into the developing their own recruits business. People who start at UCONN get the full program mindset where players who come in don't. It can be something as simple as getting hit in the nose, UCONN players finish the play then look for blood while others fall to the floor and check for blood.

The team this year had more talent that pretty much any other team in the country but not nearly as mentally tough. Ohio State was on the edge of getting blown out in that game and the players on the floor didn't stomp on their throats and finish the job. Some may not have been capable of that but some didn't even realize the game was theirs to take.

Sorry, but I wouldn’t have given up Lou or Dorka for anything. Cannot agree less.
