at that point of the field at the 10 yardline it shouldnt be thrown anywhere but the end zone, the spike would have taken no more then 2 seconds off the clock and allowed your guys to calm down and huddle up if they have to.

Clock stopped at :30, didn't snap until :21.

They completed a pass to the ~25 for a 1st down. Ball was set, clock ran for about 6-7 seconds before they hiked the ball. Kind of significant when there's <45 sec left in the game.

Have always thought that college football coaches (and some NFL coaches) should go to a clock management class led by basketball coaches. Never ceases to amaze me how many football coaches have poor clock management.

Completely agree.
Like the NFL coaches who don't call a timeout at 2:20 but let it run to the 2 min warning. Then they call it after the next play, with 1:50 left. Had they done the reverse, they'd have saved 10 seconds.

Agree - it is NOT unique to UConn and even the best have problems! Easy to sit in stands and @ home and point it out - heat of battle is another.

definetly it also calms your kids down allows them to catch their breath and huddle up then you tell your qb to throw it into the end zone only if there is nothing there throw it away, they didnt even snap the ball till the 7 second mark, you could have just clocked it at 13 sec
