I know. It's just a long drive and parking is a pain. To be honest, I'm lazy about going to West Hartford due to parking lol.
There's a ton of parking in Queens.

I eaten via food delivery from Rawa. Very good food. Chicken pizza on pita I liked, as well as the lamb dish.there is an indonesian place in new haven -- toka on state street. i haven't tried it yet, but the menu looks pretty legit.
the owner of rawa in westville is from iraq and the restaurant is named after a region in the country, but they bill themselves as a "mediterranean fusion restaurant" so not sure if that counts.
bobby b's roti shop in bridgeport used to be a trini place in bridgeport, but it closed. such a shame -- it's the only place i have ever had that cuisine.
I do post all of the restaurants. Not sure if you post or blog or anything but I’d love to have this turn in to a series of Shizzle restaurant reviews.
There is supposed to be a new Albanian restaurant in Stamford soon as well.In New London there is Osminos Which is Salvadorian and Nana's Byrek in Waterford.
Byrek is an Albanian dish I believe.
Cant find Irish? There is supposed to be a new Albanian restaurant in Stamford soon as well.
I haven't gone to Irish yet but I'm sure I can find one. Do you have any place you recommend?Cant find Irish?
I'm in the se part of the state so Friar Tuck's in Mystic has Irish fare. There is also a pub off west main in downtown Mystic.I haven't gone to Irish yet but I'm sure I can find one. Do you have any place you recommend?
Also these guys do eating around the world in NYC. I know you are opposed to going there, but could probably knock off your entire list if you did…
Have you gone to the Scottish place down in that area?I'm in the se part of the state so Friar Tuck's in Mystic has Irish fare. There is also a pub off west main in downtown Mystic.
No. The only one I know of is Dave's in Clinton, a pub. I was just told there is an Irish place in Niantic called Black Sheep.Have you gone to the Scottish place down in that area?
Bistro du Soleil in Westport. They also own Rincon Taqueria in Norwalk (which has been positively reviewed on this board), mostly Mexican, but some Chilean specials. Tell Maria that Vegas sent you...I guess I should list where I've been
South America: Need help finding: Chile

Apparently an Australian place in Stamford. Drank there a few times when I lived in Stamford, never eaten there. Looks good though.
Cka ka Qellu? It opened a few weeks ago. There is supposed to be a new Albanian restaurant in Stamford soon as well.
Those are two I haven't been able to find.Cka ka Qellu? It opened a few weeks ago.
If you’re looking for Georgian or Bukharian (Uzbekistani) cuisine, I can point you toward a handful of absolutely bangin restaurants in Queens.
Marani in Kew Gardens for Georgian. Amazing. Those are two I haven't been able to find.
CrazyUCFan23 also mentioned Minas in Danbury. I like Brazilian food a lot. I have some Brazilian friends who introduced me to picanha (steak) and Caipirinhas (drink made from cachaca). They love their picanha. We would go to Queens or my favorite is Plataforma on 49th street in Manhattan. I know you don't like NYC but I get in and out on trains. I was just there before Christmas and did the all you can eat and left very satisfied. I know there is a Banana Brazil in Hartford as well.Never been there but I have been to Banana Brasil in Waterbury and Pantanal, Terra Brasil, and Tropicana in Bridgeport. I like Brazilian a lot.
Love Momo. There was a place just outside Philly (White Yak) that I used to pass by all the time when working down there that has a 9pc Chicken, Beef and Veggie Momo combination.Last week I went to Chez Ben (Canadian) in Manchester but the poutine wasn’t memorable. This week I went to Jewel of Himalaya in Newtown. It is a Nepalese restaurant that serves a few Tibetan and Indian dishes as well.
I had the best lentil soup I have ever had in my life. It was part of a lunch course that included white rice, a potato cauliflower curry, a chicken with tomato base curry, spicy pickles, and a mixed greens bowl. I also had chicken and beef momos with two sauces (one spicier than the other). I finished off the meal with some Tibetan bread (tastes like fried dough).
I love good lentil soup. I've had it from three different places in the past two weeks: Ladle & Loaf (hat tip to @karstenkibbe for that tip), Aladdin and Mediterranea, all in New Haven. All very different; all very good. I think I like Mediterranea's best among those three.Last week I went to Chez Ben (Canadian) in Manchester but the poutine wasn’t memorable.
