I hear ya. I share scores with two of my daughters daily and they both got it in three today, saying they had lucky guesses; proving, as always, that it is better to be lucky than good. FLOUR was a good guess.
But a fortunate brain fart getting the C in the first spot.Total brain fart on second and third guesses. Ugh.

fixedNot proud of this. Three words, two tries left, what's a boy to do?
ok, got a technical problem. can't seem to paste. it was a six and I had to use the trick in line 5.
I thought of SPADE much earlier but didn’t use it for the same reason you had reservations about SLAVE.Oof. Not great. I knew my 4th guess wouldn’t be a solution word. I didn’t even think of SUAVE.

Yes, I had misgivings about picking those two back to back but I never thought of SUAVE and it was eliminated anyway, so there was nothing left. It’s a shovel and a suit in cards, it should be a perfectly fine word.I thought of SPADE much earlier but didn’t use it for the same reason you had reservations about SLAVE.

Yeah I know you know them, it’s just sad sometimes when words aren’t acceptable due to some other possible usage. I’m glad this one was ok, just wish we didn’t need to wonder if it was.Oh I agree and am well aware of its proper meanings, but I have been surprised by similar words that are not accepted for Spelling Bee.
