Wordle Discussion Daily Spoilers

Got it in 5…my best one yet…I’ve only played 3 times. Solved the first one in 6, failed miserably on the second. I can see this being addicting.

Got a three today. Has the entire week been double letters?

Whoop there it is! I know of three 2s today including @navery12 I simply tried to move the one letter I got and use common letters I hadn't.

Interesting play. I might've gone for 2 with what Navery had, but not with Gleam. With two letters or less on first guess (unless both in position) I always go for a completely new set of letters. Likely I won't be seeing many 2s with that strategy, but OTOH, after 9 games I've got 7 fours, a 3 and a 5, so haven't come close to a bust yet. Again, high floor, low ceiling player, lol.

I never burn a word that way unless I'm stuck to come up with any word that fits. Usually caused by that's a blind spot to a repeat letter. I always use to guess to at least try to get a yellow letter to green.

I play the hard way always using the letters that are known. Got it in three today.

Just did a Quordle practice game that was a real tester.

You guys are rookies: you haven't even seen worldle or nerdle yet?

Just tried worldle, got it in 2 (Albania, Finland). Too easy as they give you the direction for the next guess. There's a similar game on Sporcle I play - and that has a short time limit and no directional clues, only distance.

Got my 1st nerdle in 3, and while it's challenging, I don't find doing math formulas as fun as word play or even ridiculous variations on Sudoku. But thanks for sharing the games, always up for new timewasters!

That was an easy worldle. Just wait until its some random African country. Difficulty skyrockets.

Africa wouldn't be a problem. I can name all the countries and point them out on a map. My tripping point is the little archipelagos in Oceania and the Carribean.

Fun fact: In 1959, UConn Journalism 101 created a geography quiz of 20 questions (which changed each year). In 1976, when I took the test in Mr. Breen's class, I became the first person to ever get a perfect score.

Solid effort today

Just use adieu and wormy as your first two words every time. It eliminates all the vowels and ten letters.

w00t! First 2.

I feel like I'm getting better at identifying these.

4 today

Went with TRUCE and TRIBE before getting it.

Got it in 3, 2nd choice was TROPE and that pretty much gave it away.

Pictures not loading. With O in the middle and no A, E at the end seemed likely.

Just lost my first Quordle in like 20 tries including practice games. Fell to a triple R - "rarer".

.-.
Took me all 6 tries. I started with adieu and wormy as some have suggested but all it gave me were the E and O. scone, glove, elope,
bloke.

Yeah, _LO_E leaves a lot of options. I was prepared to use elope for #6 if it came to that.

took me all 6 today - for some reason I thought it was slang and didn't try it earlier when it crossed my brain.

Took all 6. Really just ridiculous to use two repeat letters.

Got today in 4. Had 0 correct in the first 2 tries and eliminated A, E, O and U. Then stared at 3 and 4 for about 15 minutes before I got it.
