Ah, something i can procrastinate chores with... so far I count 103 words ending in y. This was puzzle 881, which gives us 11.7% of the total words used so far.

Going to wordfinder and filtering for 5 letter (Scrabble-approved) words ending in Y, there are 986 possibilities. Filtering for only 5 letter words gives us 9376 words.

The original number of solution words was 2,315, but six words were removed from the game's solutions in 2022 for being either offensive, outdated, or using non-US spelling.
