Got up to go to the bathroom and couldn't go back to sleep. Read the Mets articles, got to Genius on Spelling Bee, did the Wordle and then finally fell back asleep--and then slept just late enough to miss my live Peloton ride, so I had to do an on-demand one instead. Would have rather run outside this morning but I tweaked my calf during my evening run a few nights ago and I am trying to give it some rest for a few days.

Time for coffee, music and NYT now.

That was 100% a function of doing it at 4:30 a.m. I actually told myself to look for other options and only scanned quickly because I was cocky about having so many chances left. I wasn’t irate; more like mildly frustrated. And then I went back to sleep.

I was wondering when we'd finally get a QU word. Pretty ballsy of @uconn1999 to guess one to start. I continue to struggle placing As in the 4-5 slots. Just seems an uncommon placement to me.

That Quordle was ridiculous. I got spunk first, in 5. Then took another 3 turns to get ozone. Then queer with 9th turn. Missed bawdy.

As I said earlier, anyone who gets a 2 is lying. Even if one wanted to go with a "qua" series, there are lots of words you'd pick before "aquas", because nobody opens with a double a and wordle doesn't use plurals.

Feel good about 3. I clicked my second guess and tried to take it back as a mistake when I realized I was wasting a letter with two Ls. Then was pleased.
