Until Quinn gets better at end of game coaching in tight games, no Seattle. Phoenix will probably be better then Seattle at the end of the year.
With Brondello coaching them? Come on now. We've seen Phoenix being completely mediocre for years. Ain't gonna change now. Haven't done much since 2014 (Sandy's first season at the helm).

Sounds like Bird and Stewie are sitting out again tonight against the Lib.

Will Howard go nuts against her former team? Whitcomb too.

Didn't the Storm just beat the snot out of the Sun less than a week ago? Seems a bit odd to be writing them off now. Clearly they won't be as good whenever Stewie and Bird are sitting out.

She is a better coach then Quinn at the present time. Quinn has cost the Storm st least 2 games this year. The game at home against Dallas, and the game against Chicago. How do you up 6, not guard the best 3 point shooter in the league on 2 consecutive possessions,at the end of the game with a foul to give?

Coaching is one thing, personnel is another. Again, Seattle just hammered Connecticut on Sunday. I believe both teams were at full strength (well yeah, no A. Thomas, but she's been out all year). Sun had to be equally motivated for that $30 K bonus as the Storm were. Bad coaching in close games only matters...if it's a close game.

Anyway Brondello has massively underachieved w/ Taurasi and Griner, plus whoever else they had on court w/ them. Quinn has coached a few games, this is Brondello's 8th year with Phoenix and 9th overall.

Cierra Burdick CANNOT be the best player that was available to sign for the Storm after they cut Dupree. They've extended her thru the rest of the season.

.-.
Lib up 1 at halftime. The new Big 3 for Seattle is Loyd, KLS and Prince. Unfortunately getting almost nothing from the rest of the team.

Ionescu just looks like she's stuck moving in slow motion. Will she ever get healthy and be the player she could've been?

Loyd is playing out of her mind! She had 14 at halftime. She's scored 16 points in 5 minutes in Q3. Sitting at 30 w/ 15 minutes of game clock left. Everything she's throwing up is going in.

KLS and Onyenwere getting into it. Katie Lou drew a technical on Michaela.

Loyd went from red hot to ice cold instantly. 15 point lead has turned into a 2 point deficit.

.-.
Give the game ball to Becca Allen. Made up most of that 15 point deficit by herself hitting 3's.

83-79 final. 21-7 in Q4. Seattle gave this one away. Stewie and Bird's vacations can't end soon enough.

Loyd missed a long heave at the end of Q3, then went 0-fer in Q4.

I know @baggerbob is really down on Quinn, but the whole team imploded, 7 points in Q4. Blame for this goes to everybody.
Canada is not a good point guard, she is a nice backup, but not the answer when Sue retires. Seattle has no chance to repeat. They have no real depth on this team, and the offense without Sue is too much one on one.

I thought Canada did a good job the season Bird missed, in '19. She was decent last year as well. She has REALLY regressed this season, not sure what happened.

Clark was a player who could isolate when Canada dribbled and wasted too much clock. She could drive on anyone and score. Right now if Stewie isn't playing the only one who can do that is Loyd. Would have liked them to pick up Mack as a backup center so Ezi could play some forward with Stewie at the 3.

Disagree IMHO. It starts with the coach. I realize that Loyd had the hot hand, but she was ice cold the first 3-4 minutes of Q4. Instead of spreading the offense, getting better ball movement and passes, the offense for the entire quarter mainly (not exclusively) consisted of either 1) get the ball to Jewell and let her shoot no matter how bad a shot or 2) let Canada think she's an elite PG/shooter and go 1 vs. 5.

KLS had a few open 3's and nailed one, they had a nice pass into the post and Russell got fouled for FT's, but the rest of the quarter SEEMED like it was the Loyd and Canada show, in spite of going 0-for whatever. That's on the coach. Draw up something else. You must have other plays besides let Jewell and Jordan do whatever they want with the ball?

They started Q4 up 10 and lost the game by 4 points. Did the coach, at any point during the Q while being outscored by 14, think "maybe letting Jewell and Jordan do whatever they want is not the way to win the game?" . Apparently she did not. Played "not to lose", and it cost the team the game.

That was the same show the other night when Loyd went 7-30. Canada 2-9, and should never take a 3 unless the shot clock is running down. That is definitely on the coach.

I've certainly been critical of Quinn as a coach. But the team is really in a bad position until their 2 resting stars return to the lineup.

Sabrina finished with 10pts, 7 rebounds, and 5assists (and an uncharacteristic 5 turnovers).

IMO, people have been way too harsh on her performance this year. She's not shooting 2-pointers well, but she's 4th in the league in APG and averaging nearly 6rpg as a PG. If she can stay healthy, I'm still buying Sabrina stock.

She's a skilled player, she's still having an impact on the game. But she does not look like the same player she was at Oregon at all. She was never the fastest or quickest player, but she was much more dynamic than this. I think we saw the real Sabrina for a few games at the beginning of the year, but not so much since.

Sadly, I kind of agree. But I think she looked more like herself right before the break and now after the Olympics, if still not the Sabrina I remember from here years at Oregon. So, I'm hopeful that (perhaps) the injuries are finally receding into the past.

Collier just doesn't match up well against Bonner. I'm not sure anyone does, but Pheesa's had two poor games in a row -- poor shooting, almost nonexistent rebounding, Bonner is having another good game.

I think Charles' MVP candidacy is fading. The Mystics just aren't good enough. Regardless of how remarkable her season has been, your team can't be fighting for one of the last playoff spots if you're an MVP.

Don't look now, but the Sparks are trying to sneak into the playoffs. No Parker, no Gray, no problem.

Atlanta continues their march to the bottom of the standings. 14 Ls in their last 16 games. I don't think the previous owner was really the problem with that organization.

Griner looks like she wants that trophy

Stewie and Bird are back. Not helping that much. NY is teeing off from 3.

Whitcomb got off to a good start last game, then disappeared. She's torching the Storm today. 15 pts in Q1, perfect shooting so far.

edit--it's back to the Big 3, and nobody else doing anything for Seattle; combined for 21 of their 23 points in Q1

Maybe the teams are wearing the wrong uniforms? Seattle is 9-12 from 3 to NYs 6-14, but the Storm have 12 TOs and Lib only 4. I think NY sometimes has 4 TOs on one possession normally.

Lib up 1 at halftime.
