She doesn't need to score that many every game , but she needs to be willing to shoot when open. If she can hit some three's it will open up shots for Jewell.
Seattle needs to get something from the bench, they have been terrible.
 
Hard to believe this was Gabby's first double digit scoring game all season. She made it look easy. Don't know why she hasn't been able to drive and finish like this previously.

Stewie was kinda quiet, then took over in Q4.

NY was AWFUL the last 2 minutes, did pretty much everything wrong.

Johannes had a great game.

Ionescu did some stat sheet stuffing, but some bad decision making I thought, and really didn't step up down the stretch.

Dangerfield was invisible. I saw absolutely nothing from her while she was on the floor.

Bird made her last visit to NY as a player memorable. Some big 3's. Got the W.

It hasn't always been pretty, but the Storm are having a very good road trip. Maybe they are starting to come together as a team.

This game, Gabby came through big with late 4th Q. 3pt shot. Sue and Stewie with big shots.

Johannes is really entertaining and talented but she made one of the craziest passes in crunch time I can remember.

Seattle needs to find out what is wrong with Russell, ESPN said something about recurring headaches.
Supposed to be 2 more weeks, might not be worth having her back then. Only about 12 games left then, Russell might not be able to get into game shape.
 
This is the Sun Team that beat Seattle in one of the toughest games in a while. 61-41 Washington after 3. :eek:
 
This Washington Mystics squad is fun to watch and they ain't even playing as a healthy squad yet!
 
The Sun have had a bunch of 4th quarter comebacks this year. Tried again today, but down 20 was just too much ground to make up.
 
Lexie Hull actually in double figures in scoring today. Fever up 4 on Sky midway thru Q4.

What's up w/ Sloot lately? The assist machine has not been churning out her usual numbers.

Chicago seems to like making everything difficult for themselves. Previous game blew an 18 point lead, had to go to OT to beat Atlanta. Today grabbed a 87-84 lead w/ 1:40 left, then didn't score the rest of the way and lost by 2 to Indiana.
 
Aces look terrible today. Plum can't hit anything and Young is totally rusty since coming back from injury. And their defense is making Minnesota look great so far.

MoJeff is outplaying all of the Aces guards so far. Plum and the Aces can't drop a penny in the ocean right now, Gray is looking for her too much right now, they need to establish Wilson and Hamby inside and hope J Young can get going cause Minny doesn't have anyone that can guard her.

Well, when a terrible 3 point shooting team hits 8-18 in the first half, what can you do? Lynx up 11 at the break. Aces are 3-14 behind the arc.
 
Minny hit a 3 to start Q3 to go up 53-39. It's now 59-57 Vegas. That turned around in a hurry.
 
Can MN hold off the floodgates? They are holding on after 3Q 74-73 but Aces with 34 pts in 3Q.
 
Q3 just got wild. Both teams scoring at will, just taking turns. Plum got it going, driving to the hoop. I swear the refs have it in for her all year. She just about has to get assaulted to draw a foul call. She's driving and drawing contact ALL THE TIME, lots of swallowing the whistle. Been happening the entire season.
 
I don't recall seeing Plum get in an opponents face before. She took exception to a hard foul from Powers.


Shepard is having a big game for Minny. You'd think she'd be mismatched going up against Wilson, but she's holding her own when they've been matched up together.

I don't really love seeing Wilson taking 3's, but she's had a couple games where she's been knocking them down. That one might've just about finished it. Aces up 7 now.
 
When Wilson is 22 on 3's including a big one to extend the lead to 7. Not liking the outcome but Lynx are at least fighting hard. Moriah and Sheppard in the thick of it.

Maybe getting sick of the Tank for Paige talk. :rolleyes:
 
How are the Lynx only 3-12? They certainly haven't been playing the way they have today with a record like that.

Shepard had a monster game, but what was she thinking there? Took a 2 at the buzzer when they were down 3. 96-95 final. Jessica w/ 22 pts/18 reb off the bench.
 
Jefferson finished w/ 23 pts/7 assists.

Wilson w/ 25 pts/8 reb. Plum 21 pts/6 assists.

Hamby had the shot of the game. Lynx cut the 7 point deficit down to 2, she had a dagger 3 from the corner.
