There are 12 WNBA teams each with a 12 player roster. I don't know what the answer it, but there simply are not enough teams for the amount of talent out there. At last count, 88 girls who have not exhausted their eligibility have declared for the draft. There must be dozens more who are interested who didn't have to declare. 3 rounds equals 36 total picks from a very large pool. In 2020 only 16 of 36 draft picks made a WNBA roster. I don't have any answers, but it just seems like something is really broken for there to be so few opportunities to play pro ball in America. It would be nice to somehow see the 12 become 16.

I saw where McCowan was traded from Indiana to Dallas. Think it was just McCowan and draft picks involved.

Hmmm...could the rich get richer?
Anneli Maley, a forward for the Bendigo Spirt of the WNBL in Australia, was recently named to the season-ending, first-team of that league, as well as the overall MVP. The 6'2" forward averaged 19.8 points and 15.7 rebounds during her 16 game-WNBL season, Maley’s hot form was reflected in a season that saw her record double-doubles in all but one game.

Turns out she's been invited to the training camp of the Chicago Sky. Now, maybe she goes the way of Aussie guard Shyla Heal, but maybe she sticks. Even if, say, she plays at the level of Stephanie Talbot, that could be an excellent pick-up for Coach James Wade. Stay tuned.

I knew Oregon was going to miss her when she left. Good for her.
Maley is an interesting story. She went from Oregon to (I think) TCU and left there before completing a single season, apparently (so it was reported) to start of modeling career. Maybe the story was untrue, maybe she's decided to return to basketball. She has a lot of energy and was (in the games I saw) a fine rebounder, if a bit raw offensively. Lots of potential.

Apparently, she started showing it down under; having some monster games this season. Made first team WNBL along with Stephanie Talbot, Jackie Young, Brittney Sykes and Ezi Magbegor. 2nd team was Lindsey Allen, Cayla George, Kelsey Griffin, Alanna Smith and Marina Mabrey, who came with .1 of pt of leading the league in scoring.

Will be interesting to see how she does at the training camp, which starts up pretty soon.

Atlanta get the #1 overall pick from the Mystics. Mystics get the #3 overall pick and the #14 overall pick. Get to swap picks for 2023 (Sparks pick). Would be a brilliant move by the Mystics if the Sparks are crap this season.

Annie Hayes is coming back to Mississippi State. I doubt she was going to be high on the list of anyone to draft but it does give MSU another weapon to build around.
