1. Three of top four predicted to be CT grads
2. Two of those three predicted to play for CT Sun
3. Out of the top 30 or so, almost no other college with more than one or two players
4. At least two ex-UCONN players also predicted to end up with the SUN : B. Banks and M. Johnson. Which in a way, makes #3 look all the more remarkable to potential recruits?
5. Was thinking before I saw this how terrific it would be if Jefferson ends up in the area so she can tutor Dangerfield. Looks like it could happen

Will see how it goes, but whadaya think about THEM apples?

Texas A&M has 3 players drafted.
I like how they have us listed as a part of the Big East. Update much?

One of the mock drafts had the Connecticut Sun taking Moriah and Morgan in the first round, and Brianna Banks and Michala Johnson in later rounds. Apparently they think that the Sun are going to make a beeline for any player with a current or former UConn affiliation.

It is interesting looking at the Sun roster - they have:
1. Bone and a few back-up centers of questionable skill
2. Chiney, Alisha Thomas, Camille Little, Jennifer Lacy, Kayla Pedersen, and Shekinna Stricken at forwards

Looking at that, it is hard to see them being all that interested in a primarily 15' and in forward which is really what Morgan is. Morgan is a great player and can shoot the three, but it is not a shot she so much takes as one that forces teams to not ignore her when she is at the arc. She doesn't really 'hunt' the perimeter shots. With Chiney and Thomas being young, high draft picks, and a full field of 6'2+" forwards on the roster already all capable of working from 15' and in, the team need just don't seem strong.
Finding upgrades at guard/wing with 3 point strength or a high upside post would seem to be more immediate concerns, especially with trading away Williams this off-season

Well, you could always start another thread guessing next year's starters if this one bores you.

This mock draft, updated today, by excellesports.com (who has posted 9 previous editions, thus has been monitoring it pretty closely), looks pretty good as far as the first round is concerned. My only disagreement would be Ruth Hamblin. I follow the Pac-12, and as a Cal fan, I celebrate her graduation—finally! lol! However, I don't see her doing well in the WNBA.

She's 6'6" with a sturdy build so point-blank "chippy"/"bunny" shots deep in the paint are money in the bank. But the NCAA tournament showed she sometimes struggles at establishing that position. And when she does, it still requires a precise entry pass, not just any old lob, as she sometimes struggled catching and handling passes. Scott Rueck of Oregon State is a brilliant coach, so if she were an automatic option, they would have made more attempts at utilizing her inside.

Jennifer Hamson formerly a 2-sport athlete at BYU impressed me more when she was coming out. Taller at 6'7" but also definitely seemed to have longer arms and more athletic. Great shot blocker and overall looked more ready and comfortable on the court. Yet even after finishing up her volleyball career and focusing on basketball full-time, she's played very limited minutes with the LA Sparks.
