Voepel projects Nika for the first round? I hope it works out that way for her. Way to go, Nika!

Given how tough a league this is to gain an entry - let alone a foothold -- so much of this depends on who drafts you.
Perhaps the only league where "team needs" often are paramount, even in the first round. As noted, the Liberty need some defending to help the backcourt ('Sloot). Will see what happens.....

Class of 2024 I feel like we'll be talking about this one for a long time as one of the all time great classes
?

2013 Griner, Delle Donne, Diggins,

2008 Parker, Fowles, Quigley
2009 Angel, Kristi, Rene, DeWanna, Briann
2011 Maya, Cambage, Sloot, Danielle Robinson, Jasmine Thomas
2015 Lloyd, Cheyenne Parker, Elizabeth Williams, Stokes, Cloud, Laney

2014.....for depth and Shoni and Machine Gun Maggie

2024.... Definitely in the top 15.

Am I the only one skeptical about Brink?

Apparently the Sparks aren't.

I always thought it was pretty silly to start the draft by announcing that the team with the #1 pick is on the clock. They have been on the clock for 6 months or whatever and don't need another 3 minutes to know who they are picking.

2001 is the best IMO:
Lauren Jackson
Tamika Catchings
Deanna Nolan
Penny Taylor
Katie Douglas

Plus several other very good pros including:
Ruth Riley
Svetlana Abrosimova
Marie Ferdinand
Kelly Miller
Coco Miller
Tammy Sutton-Brown

2014 was stacked with Chelsea Gray, Alyssa Thomas, Natasha Howard, Stefanie Dolson, Bria Hartley and Kayla McBride

2016 too with Breanna Stewart, Jonquel Jones, Kahleah Copper, Courtney Williams

2019 has good potential with Arika, Napheesa, Jackie Young, McCowan, Mabrey and Magbegor

But I agree, 2024 has crazy potential. Potential is sky high for Clark/Brink/Jackson/Cardoso/Edwards/Reese. All could be stars in the league. Just wait until 2027 though, that class might surpass this one.

Clark goes #1 to no one's surprise.

Brink has been penciled in at #2 for a while but there's been some rumblings that Cardoso or Jackson might get picked here.
