The easiest way to vote is on twitter with the hashtag #WNBAVote along with the player name or twitter handle.
One player per tweet, 10 tweet limit per day, one player vote per day.
So, you can vote for up to 10 different players once per day.

The Sun voting is particularly bad. Except for Chiney, Next highest is JJ at #34. Alyssa Thomas at #36. I guess that may be due to her injury but still.

Whalen #13 and Kayla McBride # 24
Should be reversed
Kayla McBride is an all star. No doubt about it. Very few can score like her. She just put up 28 tonight verse Chicago.

Augustus and Whalen both are not All Star caliber players any longer. Fan votes have always been fairly dumb popularity contests that are not representative of who deserves to play in these games (not singling out the WNBA, this is true in all the pro leagues that have fan voting).

Wholeheartedly agree, though I'm inclined to replace "fairly dumb" with something a bit harsher.

I believe the All Star games are for the fans. I don't care what the media, other players or coaches think.... it is for the fans. If they want to see a certain player, no matter how much their skills have diminished... so be it. If the W wants to attract fans then give them the players they want to see. If Babe Ruth was 50 years old I'd vote for him because I'd want to see him play. Okay, I'm done, does anyone else need to use my soap box?

Nah. I will use my own soap box. In my opinion, the All Star game is not just for the fans but for the players as well. I am guessing that most WNBA contracts have provisions (extra money + exposure which I hear might just be helpful for WNBA players whose contracts are shall we say minimal) for being on All Star so I for one am happy that the All Stars selection is a combination of multiple stakeholders. A combination of fan popularity and more objective (we can hope) standards is just fine for me and removes the possibility of really glaring and undeserved omissions.

This makes me think of the year that Shoni made the All-Star team. She was clearly not one of the best players in the league, but she had a large fan base. In the game, she played extreme “Rez Ball” and got hot, winning the MVP trophy. She wasn’t a great player, but she was greatly entertaining.

She had some pretty passes as well as great scoring. She was free as a bird in that game with Sue Bird on the wrong end of a lot of those buckets though you can’t fault Sue for no defense in an all star game

Hmm... I think if Maya ends up being in the top two, she will be in a bit of a bind when it comes to drafting the members of her team. If Fowles, Whalen, and Augustus are among the remaining pool, I think she will pick them 1,2,3. Even though there may be better players to choose among for her team, she is not going to piss off her follow teammates and the Minnesota Fans as the game is in Minnesota. On the other hand, EDD will be able to pick among the best of the rest as it looks like none of her Washington teammates will make the top 22.

It may very well be that Maya would pick her Lynx teammates but I would severely doubt 1,2,3. I do not think players are that fragile to have their feelings
hurt by picking other "more deserving" players first. In addition, I think it would be interesting and fun for some of the players to play against their teammates.

There is no way Whalen make the Allstar team. Fan votes only account for 40% of the vote. The other 60% comes from the coaches, players, and the media. Then the top 2 will be pick from that pool of 22.

Minnesota has a large fan base, so that's why they are in the top 24. There are 24 players in the league that deserve to be All-Star over them. IMO, Maya shouldn't be top 2. I think top 2 should be Stewart and EDD. So hopefully things workout when they add in the other votes. Maya is an All-Star, but she has been inconsistent

I don't think anyone would quibble about her picking Fowles first. Last year's MVP. Leading the league in rebounds by 2 boards a game.

She has won four Championships with Whalen and Augustus. The All-Star game is just one game. She wouldn't want to do anything that could possibly alienate her teammates. Even if they aren't really bothered by it, not picking them gives them the opportunity to give Maya a hard time. All downside, no upside. The All-Star game is in Minnesota and it is likely Whalen's last year and possibly Simone's. Given the opportunity, I think Maya shows them as much "Love" as possible. :)
