WNBA 2026

I see gabby going to Minnesota. I don’t see the aces having the financial ability to make the deal. And the fact that the aces are even included makes me think winning now is a priority. So, that swings things to the Lynx for me.

That depends, if she’s ring shopping, then the Aces should be her pick.
This is the same gabby Williams that has been really vocal about the wnba not paying European players enough to basically make it worth their while. And she’s all of a sudden going to take a vet minimum??? I’m sorry. I can’t believe that.

These players fought really hard for this cba. It better not be Vegas.

I was about to say she has a couple of them but I just looked and saw she was in Chicago/Seattle for the opposite years they won.

I hope she goes to the Valks, she'd be star there. In Vegas/Minnesota I don't see her being a standout.
Is she the type of player who cares that she's a stand out though? Not saying she doesn't deserve to be, but that doesn't come across as a priority for her from my perspective.

All three teams are good fits in different ways for her. I think which team gives her the best chance at a title will be a factor. While the Valks are in their second season, they showed fans they're competitive. Add some established all-star veterans, who knows?

Interesting plot twist. 🤔

On one hand, if the Mystics like Austin, just sign her.

However, if they're not so sure in her or the contact terms: It's too bad that Austin didn't sign the offer sheet one day later (Sunday). If so, the Mystcs could've waited until after the draft to make see if they could get a top big with that #4 choice before deciding what to do. That said, maybe Austin and/or her management team knew that.... 😏

Monique Billings to the Fever seems like a move to find someone who can backup Boston. I cannot picture them on the floor together unless they're trying to counter the size on another team.

Pretty happy for BC. New team. New start. I am wishing BC all the best.
Agreed. Similar to the comments on Burton's battle to stick with a team, Carleton had a similar path.

Cut by Connecticut. Signed by Minnesota to be more of a bench player to earning a starting role. Her hometown of Chatham must be so elated to see her now as the face of a franchise.

I wouldn't go far as to say insanely stacked draft but trading a 1st round pick for Sheldon is a questionable move.
Aside from 2027, I think this is one of the deepest classes in a long time. Top 8 might look like Sarah Strong, Juju Watkins, Mikayla Blakes, Jaloni Cambridge, Joyce Edwards, Olivia Olson, Toby Fournier and Liv McGill.

Talk about a win win. I'm not sure Karl will be ready to start on opening day of the W given the length of recovery time associated with her injury, but they can IR her until she is a grab a free agent, and they have tons of cap space to be patient while she recovers. She also spoke at Tara's class this year and she has loads of coaching potential once she retires. One of the best eggs to come out of Stanford.
